  • Patent number: 10496760
Abstract: A first data table and a second table to be joined is determined. The first data table and the second data table have a join attribute. Data blocks of the first data table are stored on a storage device. An attribute value information for the join attribute for the data block of the first data table is determined. At least one partition for the first data table and the second table is defined using at least he attribute value information on the join attribute. Each partition of the at least one partition has a respective partition range of values of the join attribute. A pair wise partition join is processed on a first partition range of the determined partition ranges.

  • Publication number: 20190223715
Abstract: An illumination system for producing a spatially distributed illumination pattern for measuring the cornea of an eye and, in particular, for determining the topography of the eye. In so doing, the system facilitates distance-independent measurements. The illumination system includes an illumination unit, an optical element for collimating the illumination light and a unit for producing a spatially distributed illumination pattern in the form of a fraxicon. In particular, the illumination unit includes a plurality of illumination modules which are arranged such that each illumination module illuminates part of the fraxicon, and consequently a full-area illumination is facilitated. The system for producing a spatially distributed illumination pattern serves to determine the topography of the cornea of an eye. Here, the system is designed as a compact module, and so it can be easily combined with other measurement systems, without interfering with the beam paths thereof.

  • Publication number: 20170182702
Abstract: A method and a device for heat sealing multiple plies of a laminate from which gable top packaging can be produced, wherein the laminate has a carrier layer made of electrically non-conductive material and a sealing layer made of thermoplastic material on at least one surface of the laminate. To heat seal multiple plies of a laminate in a high-frequency alternating electric field, the alternating electric field is generated by a first lead of an HF voltage supply in a first sub-region of the sealing region and is generated by a second lead of the HF voltage supply, differing from the first lead, in at least a second sub-region of the sealing region, so that a different heat distribution is obtained over the sub-regions of the sealing region.

  • Patent number: 9617995
Abstract: A rotary piston pump with at least two double- or multi-lobe rotary pistons rotating in opposite directions, the drive shafts whereof include seals, wherein the seals are constituted as slip ring seals or lip seals or stuffing-box seals, which in each case are disposed on the shaft shoulder belonging to the respective rotary piston, and one slip ring per seal is provided with a locking device, which includes a large number of fixing positions. The seals are pushed onto a tubular shoulder of the rotary piston, the rotary piston is introduced into the pump housing, the securing element is connected to the slip ring seal in a form-fit manner by rotation of the rotary piston and the shaft shoulder is then rigidly connected to the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 9617992
Abstract: A rotary piston pump for the delivery of liquids and for the delivery of liquids containing solids. The rotary piston pump includes a pump housing which is provided with an inlet and an outlet. The pump housing includes a lining. Disposed in the pump housing, or inside the lining, are at least two counter-rotating rotary pistons, which form pump spaces during their rotation. During the rotational movement, the rotary pistons are sealed against one another, against the pump housing and against the lining. Disposed in the pump housing and/or in the lining, in the spatial vicinity of the inlet and/or the outlet, are means with which the pulsation can be reduced or even completely prevented.

  • Patent number: 9611850
Abstract: A method and a device for fixing and synchronizing rotary pistons in a rotary piston pump involves introducing the rotary pistons into the pump space of the rotary piston pump. A shaft stub of each rotary piston is then pushed through a pump rear wall onto a driveshaft provided for the respective rotary piston. The rotary pistons are aligned and synchronized in the pump space via a template, the template being fixed detachably to a pump housing. The shaft stubs of the respective rotary piston are connected, after the synchronization, in each case via a clamping device in a friction-locked manner to the respective driveshaft, outside the pump space.

  • Patent number: 9316277
Abstract: A combined vehicle brake having a hydraulically actuable driving brake and an electromechanically actuable parking brake device. In a brake housing, a hydraulic operating pressure space is bounded by a brake piston chargeable with hydraulic pressure medium to carry out normal braking. The brake piston is actuable along a longitudinal axis of the piston, and the parking brake device acts on the brake piston by a gearing converting the rotational movement of an electromechanical actuator into a translation movement and bringing about an actuation of the brake piston in order to carry out parking brake operations and keeping the brake piston in the actuated position. The gearing has a threaded spindle and a threaded nut which are in contact with each other via a plurality of rolling bodies. The frictional moment transmitted by the further axial bearing is higher than the returning torque of the threaded spindle.
