  • Patent number: 11032709
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to a conference call host. Examples include to establishing, by a first computing system, a first secure connection to a second computing system via a wireless network in response to receiving a secure connection request from the second computing system; the first computing system and the second computing system are in physical proximity to each other. Examples include to provide an operating system session to the second computing system through the secure connection while the first computing system and the second computing system remain in physical proximity to each other; the operating system is stored on and executable by the first computing system. Examples include to provide a connection to a conferencing platform to the second computing system via the first secure connection, the conference call at least among the first computing system, the second computing system, and a remote user.

  • Publication number: 20060129852
Abstract: The present disclosure describes exemplary embodiments of BIOS-based systems and methods of processor power management. Such systems include a computer system, comprising: a processor operable at a plurality of power levels (the processor comprises a register capable of storing a processor load value); a memory coupled to the processor; and BIOS software stored in the memory that executes on the processor, (the BIOS software comprises a power management module). The power management module sets the processor to a new power level of the plurality of power levels if a function of the load value indicates the new power level.

  • Publication number: 20060095685
Abstract: In at least some embodiments, a system comprises a plurality of requesters and control logic. The requestors are each capable of accessing a sharable data structure. The control logic causes a request for access to the sharable data structure to be deferred to permit only one requestor at a time to access the sharable data structure.

  • Publication number: 20050223265
Abstract: A memory subsystem may be usable in an electronic system. The memory subsystem may comprise a memory controller and a plurality of memory modules coupled to the memory controller. The memory module may be isolated wherein transactions that target the isolated memory module can complete without loss of data and without accessing the isolated memory module, and while isolated, the memory module can be tested.
