  • Patent number: 9637403
Abstract: The present invention relates to the treatment of sludge and, more particularly, to a method for recovering phosphate as a substantially solid component from a phosphate-containing sludge. Some embodiments of the invention relate to a method for recovering phosphate as a substantially solid component and aluminum as a liquid component from a phosphate-containing and aluminum-containing sludge. The method incorporates wet oxidation to decompose the organic components of the sludge to provide a residual sludge. The residual sludge comprises the insoluble components and, in some embodiments wherein the sludge comprises aluminum, the residual sludge further comprises suspended and/or soluble aluminum.

  • Publication number: 20160029651
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for storing a substance in an organic solid matter, comprising the treatment of the organic solid matter by means of a solution of the substance to be stored, and reducing the pressure, characterized in that the weight ratio of the organic solid matter to the resolution is 0.5:1, or greater. A solid food (fruit, roots, vegetables, meat, or fish), wood or bark (commercial timber, tooth picks) are used for an organic solids.

  • Publication number: 20080305027
Abstract: This invention relates to the preparation, functionalisation and use of a novel nano structured silicate, generally a calcium silicate which may be hydrated. It also relates to novel methods of producing nano structured silicates. The novel nano-structured silicate material comprises a calcium silicate in the form of platelets of about 5-10 nm thick and about 50-500 nm wide or wider stacked together in a poorly ordered framework type structure as illustrated in FIG. 1. The novel material can be prepared by reacting a calcium ion containing solution with a silicate containing solution under controlled conditions and then allowing the calcium silicate to age. The novel silicate has pores of a high volume and which are readily accessible. This provides a high oil absorption capacity and high surface area. Novel nano-structured silicate materials are produced by the invention having an oil absorption capacity up to 700 g.oil.100 g?1 silicate and a surface area up to 600 m2g?1.

  • Patent number: 6225508
Abstract: According to the invention, branched and straight chain alkenes and cycloalkenes with five and more C-atoms are by means of hydroformylation using a novel rhodium-tri-polyethylene glycolate of a polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of 320 to 650 as a catalyst with at hydrogen/carbon monoxide pressure of 60 to 200 bar and at a temperature of between 50 and 150° C. converted into branched and straight chain alkanals and cycloalkanals with six and more C-atoms. The reaction is preferably carried out in water or polyethylene glycol or a mixture of the same as a solvent in the heterogeneous phase. The aldehydes obtained are easy to separate from the catalyst in the reaction preparation. Said aldehydes are also obtained with a high level of purity and a high yield.
