Patent number: 12571663Abstract: A sensor unit includes at least one sensor and at least two busbars. The busbars have first ends forming an internal electric interface for contacting the sensor and second ends forming an external electric interface for a connection cable or a plug receiving area. An injection-molded plastic housing defines the outer shape of the sensor unit and forms a sensor receiving area with a through-opening, which holds the sensor. The housing partly encases the busbars such that the internal electric interface is at least partly free and accessible near the sensor receiving area and the external electric interface is formed within the housing. The sensor and the internal electric interface are surrounded by a potting compound in a media-tight manner to form a sealed sensor head. The potting compound is formed of a material that can be processed at lower pressures and/or temperatures than the plastic material of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2022Date of Patent: March 10, 2026Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Anwar Hegazi, Joerg Siedentopf, Robert Remus, Peter Huendorf, Thomas Breinlinger, Bernd Lutz, Heiko Rausch

Patent number: 12359944Abstract: A sensor casing is disclosed that has an open receiving space which has a peripheral edge as a creep barrier at the open end. The receiving space is filled with a potting compound. The cured potting compound forms a concave surface with respect to the peripheral edge. A method for potting an open receiving space of a sensor casing of this kind is also disclosed. The peripheral edge has an outwardly declining slope which allows temporary overfilling of the receiving space during a potting process so as to form a stable convex potting compound surface.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2021Date of Patent: July 15, 2025Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Stephan Knackert, Thomas Breinlinger

Publication number: 20240288027Abstract: A fastening arrangement is for fastening two objects together and includes a plastic flange and a screw. The plastic flange is formed on a first object and bears on a second object. The screw includes a screw head and a threaded shank. The plastic flange defines a through-opening through which the threaded shank of the screw is guided and is screwed into a corresponding threaded bore in the second object, such that an underside of the screw head bears on a bearing region at an edge of the through-opening on the plastic flange. A first corrugation profile is defined on the bearing region of the plastic flange, and a harder, second corrugation profile is defined on the underside of the screw head. In the screwed state, on account of a pretensioning force, the second corrugation profile plastically and elastically deforms the first corrugation profile and brings about a force-fit engagement.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2022Publication date: August 29, 2024Inventors: Frederic Cousin, Ibrahim Mansour, Thomas Breinlinger, Werner Steinberger

Patent number: 12055558Abstract: A housing with an open receiving chamber which has a circumferential edge in the form of a creepage barrier at an open upper face is disclosed. The receiving chamber is filled with a casting compound, and the hardened casting compound forms a concave surface relative to the circumferential edge at the open upper face. A sensor is also disclosed that includes such a housing. In addition, a method for casting an open receiving chamber of such a housing is disclosed. The open receiving chamber has an opening at one end leading to an enclosed interior adjoining the open receiving chamber. The enclosed interior is filled with the casting compound, and the open upper face of the receiving chamber has a varying height where the upper face transitions into the enclosed interior.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2021Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Joerg Siedentopf, Thomas Breinlinger

Patent number: 11784430Abstract: A method is disclosed for producing an angled plug-in connector, which has an insert-molded, prefabricated busbar stack that has at least two busbars which are next to one another, are spaced apart by an insulating gap, and are made of an electrically conductive planar material. Each of the busbars includes a starting region which is in a reference plane and oriented in a reference direction, an end region which is bent out of the reference plane about a creasing angle and oriented in a transverse direction, a curved transition region from the reference direction into the transverse direction, and a bending region oriented along a bending line. The bending line is oriented, with respect to the reference direction, at a bending line angle, and the busbar stack is insert moulded between the starting region and the end region having a housing made of an electrically non-conductive plastics material.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2019Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Stefan Weller, Thomas Breinlinger, Frederic Cousin
