Abstract: A pen-enabled editor application for an electronic device is disclosed that provides adaptive guidelines for handwritten text. The adaptive guidelines are generated, in real time with the handwritten text, to allow the user to take advantage of the freeform input possibilities of a blank page, while still benefiting from the neatness and organization that results from writing on a lined page. The adaptive guidelines are generated and have a location and a length that changes with measured aspects of the handwritten input text, as the text is written. The handwritten input text may be provided by a pen device interacting with a display device of the electronic device.

Abstract: A note-taking application may be provided as a unified package that includes a full application for an unlocked state of the device, and a limited application for a locked state of the device. A user may perform a trigger action, such as swiping down from a corner, when the device is in a standby mode or displaying a lock screen. In response to the trigger action, the device may execute the limited application, allowing the user to write notes while the device remains in a locked state. The limited application accesses a sandboxed local note store with configurable note persistence, but can communicate with the full application by using secure API calls.

Such embodiments may begin by receiving a legacy document and a specification of layers to be added to the legacy document. The legacy document may include, for example, a PDF document. The specified layers may include, for example, color layer design or an interactive layer design. The DL platform may overlay the color design and/or interactive layer design upon the legacy document. Further, the DL platform may output an updated document comprised of the legacy document with the color layer and/or the interactive layer overlaid upon it.

The cover is flexible unitary made from an elastomer, such as silicone or latex rubber, and is highly elastic and waterproof. The upper part of the cover fits snugly over the cyclist's ankle to prevent water egress into the shoes from above. The lower part of the cover snugly cover and seals to the bottom edge of the shoe without interfering with the cycling shoe's cleat or attachment to the cycle pedal.

Abstract: Processes for monitoring the levels of oxygen and/or nitrogen in a substantially oxygen and nitrogen-free plasma ashing process generally includes monitoring the plasma using optical emission. An effect produced by the low levels of oxygen and/or nitrogen species present on other species generally abundant in the plasma is monitored and correlated to amounts of oxygen and nitrogen present in the plasma. This so-called “effect detection” process monitors perturbations in the spectra specifically associated with species other than nitrogen and/or oxygen due to the presence of trace amounts of oxygen and/or nitrogen species and is used to quantitatively determine the amount of oxygen and/or nitrogen at a sensitivity on the order of 1 part per million and potentially 1 part per billion.
