  • Publication number: 20160124532
Abstract: Examples of a multi-region touchpad are disclosed. In one example implementation, a multi-region touchpad may include a multi-region touchpad sensor having a region and a secondary region to receive an input corresponding to a movement against the multi-region touchpad sensor and a touchpad controller. The touchpad controller may process the received input, and may transmit touch position indicative of the received input to a touchpad driver of a computing device communicatively coupled to the touchpad device. Further, the touchpad driver may cause an operating system of the computing device to treat a touch with a touch position beginning in the primary region and extending into the secondary region as a continuous touch. Similarly, the touchpad driver may cause the operating system to treat a touch with a touch position beginning in the secondary region as a navigational command to cause the operating system to perform a navigational function.

  • Patent number: 7732781
Abstract: In one embodiment, a radiation detection system is provided including a radiation detector and a first enclosure encapsulating the radiation detector, the first enclosure including a low-emissivity infra-red (IR) reflective coating used to thermally isolate the radiation detector. Additionally, a second enclosure encapsulating the first enclosure is included, the first enclosure being suspension mounted to the second enclosure. Further, a cooler capable of cooling the radiation detector is included. Still yet, a first cooling interface positioned on the second enclosure is included for coupling the cooler and the first enclosure. Furthermore, a second cooling interface positioned on the second enclosure and capable of coupling the first enclosure to a cooler separate from the radiation detection system is included. Other embodiments are also presented.

  • Patent number: 7618278
Abstract: A plug-in connection has a housing having a pair of spaced sides between which can fit a plug or socket. Each side is formed with an aperture with the apertures aligned transversely with each other. The housing further having a latch element and a locking element. A pair of spaced side walls are fixed to and project outward from one of the sides of the housing. The aperture of the one side of the housing is between the side walls, and the aperture on the other side of the housing is at least as large as the aperture of the one side. A cover bridges the side walls and forms therewith a recess adapted to receive the locking element movable therein. The cover and side walls at least almost completely enclose the latch element and locking element and are almost completely enclosed in an end region of the recess.

  • Patent number: 7497708
Abstract: An electrical connector has a dielectric body having longitudinally opposite inner and outer faces and formed with a central cavity opening longitudinally outward at the outer face and a pair of side cavities flanking the central cavity and also opening longitudinally outward at the outer face, respective stiff contacts fixed in the side cavities and each having an outer end projecting longitudinally outward from the respective side cavity past the outer face, an elastically deformable generally U-shaped bridge clip having a bight in the central cavity and a pair of generally longitudinally extending arms each having an outer end projecting longitudinally outward from the central cavity past the outer face, each of the arm outer ends bearing transversely on a respective one of the contact outer ends in an uncoupled position of the connector. The bight is held in the cavity to retain the clip therein against longitudinal movement.

  • Patent number: 7384284
Abstract: An electrical connector has a multiconductor plug strip and a multiconductor socket strip fittable complementarily and transversely with the plug strip. A pivot seat on one of the strips defines a pivot axis, and a lever formed with a pivot is fittable with the seat and pivotal on the one strip about the axis. An actuating formation on the lever offset from the axis and another actuating formation on the other strip are engageable with each other when the other strip is at least partially fitted to the one strip to disengage and engage the strips with each other.
