Patent number: 9101296Abstract: A goggle based light-weight VOG/EOG system includes at least one digital camera connected to and powered by a laptop computer through a firewire connection. The EOG system is incorporated directly into a goggle base. The digital camera may digitally center the pupil in both the X and Y directions. A calibration mechanism may be incorporated onto the goggle base. The VOG system may track and record 3-D movement of the eye, track pupil dilation, head position and goggle slippage. An animated eye display provides data in a more meaningful fashion. The VOG system is a modular design whereby the same goggle frame or base is used to build a variety of digital camera VOG systems.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2007Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: NEURO KINETICSInventors: John Howison Schroeder, Alexander D Kiderman, Thomas C. Patent number: 5736711Abstract: An improved underwater arc-welding apparatus that includes a handheld torch assembly connected to an housing that delivers electrical power, a pressurized shielding gas, and a consumable wire electrode to the site of the weldment. The housing is configured such that the diver/operator, himself, can control such welding parameters as the voltage level of the electrical power, the duration of the flow of the shielding gas, and the delivery rate of the electrode. In addition, the housing is configured to allow the entry of water into the space between its components, and these components, including an electric motor that advances the consumable wire electrode, are sealed individually from the water. Electrical connections between the components are effected using underwater cables and connectors.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1996Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Broco, Inc.Inventors: Thomas C.
