  • Patent number: 11949725
Abstract: One embodiment provides for a media playback device comprising a memory device to store instructions; one or more processors to execute the instructions stored on the memory device, the instructions to cause the one or more processors to provide a playback queue manager to manage one or more media playback queues including a set of media items associated with a scheduled event and a playback routing manager to determine an output destination for the set of media items based on context associated with the scheduled event, the playback routing manager to route output of playback of the set of media items to one or more of multiple different connected media playback devices based on the context associated with the scheduled event.

  • Patent number: 7557083
Abstract: A novel group of gastrokines called Gastric Antrum Mucosal Protein is characterized. A member of the group is designated AMP-18. AMP-18 genomic DNA, cDNA and the AMP-18 protein are sequenced for human, mouse and pig. The AMP-18 protein and active peptides derived from it are cellular growth factors. Surprisingly, peptides capable of inhibiting the effects of the complete protein, are also derived from the AMP-18 protein. Control of mammalian gastro-intestinal tissues growth and repair is facilitated by the use of the proteins, making the proteins candidates for therapies.

  • Patent number: 5422122
Abstract: A pharmaceutical dosage form is prepared from a multiplicity of coated potassium chloride crystals coated with two distinct layers, the first of ethylcellulose and the second of a hydrophilic coating polymer, preferably hydroxypropylcellulose, resulting in microcapsules. These microcapsules are capable of being compressed into tablets of suitable hardness and friability with minimum quantities of excipients. The resultant controlled release tablets are useful for treatment of potassium deficiencies in humans.

  • Patent number: 5303633
Abstract: A shock compression jet gun with associated explosive charge assembly. The shock compression jet gun features a breech for storage of the explosive charge assembly, a projectile tube, and an expansion nozzle disposed between the breech and projectile tube. The expansion nozzle includes converging and diverging passageways. The explosive charge assembly includes a shock absorbing outer casing, a detonator, a shaped charged positioned within the casing and a compressible medium retained within a recess formed in the shaped charge. The compressible medium is maintained within the recess by way of a membrane sealing one end of the casing. In a preferred embodiment the compressible medium is a liquid such as ammonia, water or a mixture of liquid ammonia and water which dissociate(s) into a mixture of light gases upon detonation of the shaped charge.

  • Patent number: 5252337
Abstract: A controlled release formulation of a calcium channel blocker for oral administration contains non-pareil seeds loaded with a calcium channel blocker, particularly diltiazem, nifedipine, or verapamil, and then microencapsulated in ethylcellulose by phase separation techniques. The resultant microcapsules provide an approximately zero order release rate, preferably over 12 to 16 hours. These microcapsules may be filled into gelatin capsules.
