  • Patent number: 6056764
Abstract: A blade has a proximal end and a distal end and a central axis of elongation. The proximal end is generally rectangular cubic with a flat profile having top and bottom surfaces and short sidewalls, with each sidewall made up of two edges meeting to define an angle of approximately 100.degree. to 140.degree.. The apex of this angle is unsharpened and these sidewalls comprise guide means for guiding movements of the blade through an opening created by the cutting surfaces located on the distal end thereof. The distal end of the blade includes a cutting surface made up of a sharp pointed tip with the cutting edges proximal of the tip defining an angle of 75.degree. to 85.degree.. Two angled surfaces extend laterally and proximally to either side of the tip, each making an angle of 22.degree. to 27.degree. with the bottom surface of the blade. The tip is located between the planes defined by the top and bottom surfaces of the blade. The inventive blade is made from diamond.

  • Patent number: 6014557
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for providing wireless telecommunications service providers roamer visibility for on-line customer support and a fraud data feed for reducing losses due to fraud, obviating the need for each provider to purchase data from a central clearinghouse. Monitoring devices are coupled to existing network links (e.g., SS7 telecommunications links) or network elements (e.g., an STP pair), and are adapted to capture certain data regarding user traffic. The captured data is in turn provided via a wide area network or other transmission means to a message processor. The message processor collates raw messages received from the data capture devices and produces roamer visibility and fraud data. This subscriber-related data can be used to populate one or more databases available for query by on-line client workstations, or may, in the case of fraud-related data, be provided as a wire feed or other transmission to a fraud detection system or other wireless service providers.

  • Patent number: 5467877
Abstract: A baby bottle with recessed bottom for the removable receipt of a cold substance comprising a baby bottle having a main body portion with a side wall having a cylindrical cross-sectional configuration over the majority of its extent, the main body portion having a closed lower end forming a base with a flat surface perpendicular to the axis of the side wall and with an open upper end, with threads formed exteriorly on the open upper end; and a cylindrical extension formed within the interior of the bottle between the side walls from the central portion of the base.

  • Patent number: 4916082
Abstract: Charge on a floating gate of a semiconductor device structure is neutralized by illuminating the structure with a high intensity light during process steps that inject charge. The light provides for the formation of electrons, or free carriers, in the semiconductor substrate. The electrons facilitate tunneling which prevents dielectric degradation or rupture.

  • Patent number: 4697537
Abstract: A retractable line storage device (10) is disclosed. Most particularly the device provides a storage and automatic retrieval device for mooring lines as used on small boats. A hollow housing (18) and more specifically its spindle 26 is adapted to retain reel (28). A mooring line (14) is secured to and wrapped around the reel. The free end of the mooring line passes through top plate (12) and is attached to semi-spherical handgrip (16). A cup (15) is formed in the upper surface of top plate (12) for reception of the handgrip thus providing a flush mounting wherein no part of the device protrudes above the surface of top plate (12) when the line is in its retracted position. Finger grip sumps (19) are provided for access to the fingergrip. A helical spring (31) is attached to housing (18) and to reel (28) for automatic rewinding of the line (14) when storage of the line is desired. A cover plate (29) is provided to facilitate access to the parts contained within housing (18).
