  • Patent number: 7304314
Abstract: A cross-ambiguity function generator (“CAF”) uses properties of quantum mechanics for computation purposes. The CAF has advantages over standard analog or digital CAF function generators, such as improved bandwidth. The CAF may be used for traditional geolocation or RADAR applications.

Assignee: General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Inc.
    Inventor: Thomas C. Zaugg
  • Patent number: 5757684
Abstract: A co-channel interference canceling system that uses adaptive filters exploiting the short-term spectral symmetry of narrow-band FM signals. The carrier frequency of a signal-of-interest is designated. An adaptive filter is generated that passes those spectral components that exhibit symmetry about this center-point frequency, and attenuates those that do not. Co-channel interferers detuned from the SOI are significantly attenuated, greatly improving the reception of the signal of interest.
