Publication number: 20150246263Abstract: A system and method of performing functional body weight circuit training has two or more exercise stations or body weight exercise devices arranged at spaced locations in a circuit. Each exercise device is configured for performing one or more body weight resisted exercises different from the exercises performed on other exercise devices in the circuit, and has an incline, a sliding platform slidably engaged on the incline, and at least one additional user engagement device associated with the incline. A user engages the sliding platforms and the user engagement devices of exercise devices at successive exercise stations in the circuit in turn to perform different exercises at each station until a circuit training sequence is completed, with exercise resistance for each exercise provided by the user's body weight engaging the sliding platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2014Publication date: September 3, 2015Applicant: Total Gym Global Corp.Inventors: Thomas J. Patent number: 5967955Abstract: An exercise device is provided as a set of inner rails pivotally connected to a slide bar adjustably supported by a vertical support member and a set of outer rails pivotally connected to the set of inner rails at a rail pivot point with a strut pivotally connected to the vertical support member and the rail pivot point. A user support platform is rollable along the inner and outer rails when the inner and outer rails are extended from the vertical support member. Pulley means are connected to the vertical support member and a connector means extends through the pulley means to the user support platform allowing an exerciser positioned on the user support platform to propel the exerciser along the inner and outer rails. The exercise device may include a foot rest at one end of the outer rails allowing for additional exercising. The exercise device may also include a foot harness attached to the connector means to allow for additional exercise use.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 1997Date of Patent: October 19, 1999Assignee: Total Gym Fitness, Ltd.Inventors: Larry Westfall, Thomas Campanaro, Thomas A.
