    Abstract: A guided protector for a stent delivery assembly including an arbor disposed generally in the center of a sleeve. The distal end of the arbor is joined to the sleeve using a variety of joining methods including a friction fit and plastic welding. In a preferred embodiment, the inside diameter of the sleeve is larger than the outside diameter of the stent which is being protected.
