  • Patent number: 11957466
Abstract: An apparatus includes an introducer defining an inner volume, a catheter, and a guide member. The having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, with the catheter defining a lumen extending through the proximal end portion and the distal end portion of the catheter, and with the catheter configured to move between a first position, in which the catheter is disposed within the introducer, and a second position, in which at least the distal end portion of the catheter is distal to the introducer. The guide member is coupled to the introducer, with the guide member defining a lumen. A portion of the catheter is received within the lumen of the guide member when the catheter is in the first position, and the distal end portion of the catheter is distal to the guide member when the catheter is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 11540844
Abstract: Described herein are examples of orthopedic reamer heads for preparing a bone to receive an implant, as well as methods of assembling reamer heads. An illustrative example of a modular reamer head can include a body and a cutting system. The body can include a generally dome shape having an outer surface extending from an apex region to a base. The outer surface can have a recess including one or more arcuate channels that extend from the apex region towards the base of the dome. The cutting system can have one or more arcuate elements having cutting elements. One or more arcuate elements can extend from first end portions in the apex region towards second end portions proximate the base. At least a portion of the one or more arcuate elements can be located in the one or more arcuate channels to extend outward beyond the outer surface.

  • Publication number: 20060199165
Abstract: The disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods and systems for an on Demand Test Facility Provider System (DTFPS). The DTFPS enables the deployment of testing facilities on demand. Generally, the invention enables interactions between four actors: a testing authority, a testing provider, a testing facility, and a test candidate. The testing authority is a body having the credentials and authority to conduct testing over a pool of candidates. The test provider is a service provider arranging for the administration of testing. The test provider offloads the logistics of test administration from the testing authority and coordinates with test facilities, candidates, and the testing authority to provide the administration of various tests. Various components of the DTFPS take on the role of a test provider enabling the administration of a wide spectrum of tests for different groups of people.

  • Patent number: 6279278
Abstract: A top cap arrangement for an interior space-dividing wall panel arrangement which mounts on and projects upwardly from a floor for dividing a floor area into a plurality of smaller working areas. The panel arrangement is defined by a plurality of individual panel members which are less than ceiling height, and have an interior frame construction which includes an elongate top frame element which extends along and defines the upper surface of the panel member. A top cap member mounts on and extends horizontally along the top frame element, and is constructed of a material which permits at least limited transverse flexibility. The top cap member has a channel-like configuration which includes outer side flanges which slidably overlap and embrace exterior sides of the panel member to permit at least limited vertical positional adjustability of the top cap member relative to the panel member.

  • Patent number: 5799724
Abstract: A deflector means having a trapezoidal cross section for reducing erosion of heat exchanger tubes caused by a flowing, particle-laden combustion gas produced in a fossil fuel-fired boiler, and a draft loss reduction means for use in connection with the deflector means. The deflector means preferably is attached to heat exchange tubes in a first row of a tube bank so as to precondition the combustion gas flow. The draft loss reduction means preferably is affixed to heat exchange tubes in a second row of a tube bank in order to reduce draft loss typically caused when combustion gas flows around heat exchange tubes.

  • Patent number: 4885482
Abstract: A circuit board for use with two different interface standards of different computer systems. The circuit board contains interfaces to two or more different standards so that one board can be inserted into two different mother boards. The interface on the board can be card edges for edge connectors, pin and socket connectors or others. The circuit board also includes provisions for the mounting of appropriate end plates. The circuit board further includes circuitry for selecting the appropriate circuitry configuration for the active interface standard, either automatically or based on a manual selection.
