  • Patent number: 11976915
Abstract: There is described a method for interrogating optical fiber comprising fiber Bragg gratings (“FBGs”), using an optical fiber interrogator. The method comprises (a) generating an initial light pulse from phase coherent light emitted from a light source, wherein the initial light pulse is generated by modulating the intensity of the light; (b) splitting the initial light pulse into a pair of light pulses; (c) causing one of the light pulses to be delayed relative to the other of the light pulses; (d) transmitting the light pulses along the optical fiber; (e) receiving reflections of the light pulses off the FBGs; and (f) determining whether an optical path length between the FBGs has changed from an interference pattern resulting from the reflections of the light pulses.

  • Patent number: 10413710
Abstract: Drainage systems for excess body fluids and associated methods are disclosed herein. A drainage system in accordance with an embodiment of the present technology can include, for example, a drainage catheter, a first reference line, a second reference line, and a pressure sensor assembly. The catheter can include a flexible interface member and an inlet can be placed in fluid communication with a site of excess body fluid within a patient. A first flexible region of the first reference line can be in pressure communication with the flexible interface member, and a second flexible region of the second reference line can be in pressure communication with the surrounding atmosphere. The pressure sensor assembly can be spaced apart from the flexible regions, and measure the pressures of the first and second reference lines. This information can be used to determine the pressure at the site of excess body fluid.

  • Patent number: 9256425
Abstract: Techniques are provided for versioning and refactoring of mashups. During the design phase of a mashup that is operable to access multiple external services, design information that defines or modifies a plurality of design elements included in the mashup is received from a user. Without receiving from the user any input that causes the plurality of design elements to be versioned, current versions of the plurality of design elements are automatically stored in a repository when the plurality of design elements are saved during development of the mashup. The mashup is deployed to one or more servers. Without receiving any input from the user that causes the mashup to be versioned, deploying the mashup comprises automatically storing in the repository a current version of the mashup and versioning information that associates the current version of the mashup with the current versions of the plurality of design elements.

  • Publication number: 20030004746
Abstract: The invention provides a process-centric, scenario-driven business service assembly software environment that uses encapsulated, iconographic building blocks—each representing a discrete Web Service component to be executed within a business service—to logically depict service processes as well as complex relationships between these processes, their audiences, and means of deployment. Fundamental to the invention are an Interactive Flow Assembler, an Interactive Flow Engine, a design-time Service Manager, and an implicit XML-based data and process model. Business users employ the Interactive Flow Assembler to create online business services that are executed by the Interactive Flow Engine by chaining a series of logical business steps that codify business rules, collect data, and take actions.
