  • Publication number: 20220014413
Abstract: Implementing methods to provide a shortened textual summary that includes status information that is most pertinent to the user for a plurality of connected smart devices. The method includes determining a list of current statuses for a plurality of enabled smart devices and filtering the list to remove statuses that may not be of interest to the user. The filtering of the list is based on a current context of the requesting user and one or more previous contexts of the user. The resulting filtered statuses are then converted to textual snippets, summarized, and provided to the user via one or more output devices.

  • Patent number: 9907616
Abstract: A system for use in TFL lithotripsy procedures uses a silica trunk fiber semi-permanently mounted in an endoscope and includes a detachable and replaceable wave guide treatment tip, including hollow wave guides and fiber tips. The system provides for ready removal and replacement of wave guides damaged during lithotripsy. The trunk fiber in the endoscope tube is of diameter ?200 ?m, suitable for use in the lower pole of the kidney, and should be useful over-and-over with only the detachable wave guide removed and replaced, whether during a single procedure or for multiple procedures on different patients in which the endoscope tube and trunk fiber are sterilized between patients. Multiple connector assemblies are provided for optical coupling contact between the detachable wave guide and trunk fiber and include a gap for dissipation of heat between the trunk fiber and the wave guide when in optically coupling contact.

  • Patent number: 5950026
Abstract: An apparatus for reading and/or writing information on the magnetic surface of a photographic filmstrip. The apparatus includes a mounting member and a fixed support roller over which a filmstrip is passed. The roller has an axis of rotation. At least one magnetic head is mounted to the mounting member in a manner such that the head comes in contact with the filmstrip over the area which the film is in contact with the fixed support roller at a first point along the circumference of said support roller. The mounting member has a contact surface for coming in contact with the filmstrip at a second area in which the filmstrip is in contact with the support roller which is located at a second point spaced circumferentially from the first point.

  • Patent number: 5721652
Abstract: A magnetic read/write head suspension assembly and support roller particularly for use for recording and reading information on a magnetics-on-film (MOF) layer outside the image area of photographic filmstrips. The filmstrip is pressed against the support roller by upstream and downstream wrap rollers so that an angle of wrap over a predetermined length of the filmstrip in the filmstrip transport direction is achieved around the circumferential surface of the support roller that tends to flatten out cross film curl. Magnetic read/write heads are supported to bear against the edge regions of the filmstrip MOF layer opposite to the support roller and within the angle of wrap. The magnetic read/write heads are supported in a nesting VEE arrangement so that the head gaps can make a line contact of a predetermined head gap length extending in the direction of the filmstrip width.

  • Patent number: 3980817
Abstract: The specification discloses a multiplexing system for an image detection array having laterally staggered first and second rows of image detectors which generate electrical signals representative of sensed images. First and second charge coupled device shift registers are connected to receive the electrical signals through channel inlets spaced along the lengths of the registers. Circuitry is operable during a first clock period for parallel loading electrical signals from the first row of detectors into a first set of alternate ones of the channel inlets of the first shift register. Circuitry is operable during a second clock period for parallel loading electrical signals from the second row of detectors into a second set of alternate ones of the channel inlets of the first shift register for storage between electrical signals from the first row of detectors.
