  • Patent number: 12204994
Abstract: Techniques for machine learning assisted qubit state readout are disclosed. A system a set of training data that describes states of multiple qubits, and trains a neural network to determine qubit states based on the set of training data. The system obtains one or more unlabeled qubit signals, and determines one or more states corresponding to the unlabeled qubit signal(s), using the neural network. The unlabeled qubit signal(s) may include one or more multiplexed qubit signals, and the state(s) corresponding to the unlabeled qubit signal(s) may include one or more multi-qubit states based on the multiplexed qubit signal(s).

  • Publication number: 20230390987
Abstract: An extrusion die is disclosed. The extrusion die can include a body member defining a passage therein, and the passage configured to receive heated material at an ingress end of the body member. A mandrel can be disposed within the passage and configured to divert the heated material around the mandrel within the passage as the heated material traverses the passage from the ingress end to an egress end of the body member. The mandrel can define an interior hollow portion that is configured to receive coolant.

  • Patent number: 10898790
Abstract: A puzzle kit and a puzzle constructed from said puzzle kit. The puzzle kit comprises a three dimensional substrate having an outer surface, and a plurality of puzzle pieces that cannot interlock. Each puzzle piece has a first surface and an opposite second surface and a thickness defined between the first and second surfaces. Each puzzle piece comprises first attachment means and the outer surface of the substrate defines a plurality of complementary second attachment means, such that the first attachment means and the second attachment means magnetically attach each puzzle piece to the outer surface. The first attachment means comprises a projection extending from the second surface of the puzzle piece. The second attachment means comprises a hole to partly receive the projection.

  • Publication number: 20140244028
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing different traffic speeds of carriages moving along a closed-loop track is disclosed. The closed-loop track has at least four different speed zones, which include a slow speed zone, a fast speed zone, an acceleration zone, and a deceleration zone. A computerized control system monitors and controls the movement of the carriages along the different speed zones of the closed loops track, so different traffic speeds are maintained along the closed loop track, simultaneously, with no collisions.

  • Publication number: 20060175856
Abstract: A vehicle driver security screen and in particular a screen that seeks to minimise access to the driver's area of a vehicle such as a taxi cab or bus from side or rear attempts by passengers to access the driver area in an assault or robbery situation. The security screen is removably attached to the driver's seat in a way that does not restrict the movement of the driver's seat, nor restrict the driver's access or escape from the vehicle. The present invention is useful for drivers of public transport who are regularly exposed to aggressive behaviour from passengers. The security screen provides protection to the head and torso regions of the driver whilst allowing contact with the passengers, such as when money is exchanged. Furthermore, the security screen provides protection to the driver from rear knife attack.
