  • Patent number: 9193639
Abstract: Methods for making a pressed monolithic gas generant for an inflatable restraint device (for example, an airbag system for a vehicle) are provided. The methods include admixing a gas generant material with a ballistic performance modifier to form a mixture. The mixture is granulated. Then, a pressed monolithic gas generant grain is formed by applying pressure to the granulated mixture, where the grain has an actual density of at least about 95% of the maximum theoretical density. The pressure may be applied in a controlled manner to both side of the gas generant material in a die cavity, and removing formed grain from die cavity while maintaining some pressure to both sides of the grain, thereby further improving various pyrotechnic properties.

  • Patent number: 9167105
Abstract: The automatic adjustment of audio alert characteristics of an alert device using ambient noise levels is described. In one aspect of the invention, a machine-readable medium has executable instructions to cause a machine to perform a method to receive an audio sample of ambient noise and adjust a characteristic of the audio alert, such as, the volume level of the audio alert, based on the ambient noise level.

  • Patent number: 7941778
Abstract: A network is represented using a graph. The graph comprises a plurality of vertices and a plurality of edges. The vertices comprise a source vertex, a destination vertex and a vertex u. The edges link corresponding adjacent pairs of the vertices. A minimum cost path in the graph is determined from the source vertex to the destination vertex, wherein the vertex u is in the minimum cost path. An edge from the vertex u in the minimum cost path introduces an additional capital expenditure cost that is dependent on how the minimum cost path traverses from the source vertex to the vertex u.

  • Patent number: 7676567
Abstract: A system and method for mapping a network. Specifically, the present invention provides a non-intrusive system and method for identifying network attached devices as well as the details thereof. Under the present invention, a collection apparatus having collection tools is communicated with the network. The collection tools are operated to collect information from the devices. The device information is then analyzed to identify details of the devices. Once identified, the details are aggregated into a report.

  • Patent number: 5650941
Abstract: A display mixer exports a first set of functions adapted to be called by one or more object libraries to create one or more generic objects. A surface/attribute manager exports a second set of functions adapted to be called by an application to manipulate the generic objects. The display mixer and the surface/attribute manager cause the generic objects to be rendered into a common draw surface. The display mixer and the surface/attribute manager manage a set of common attributes shared by the generic objects and manage attachments between the generic objects. A first object library calls a create-object function in the display mixer to create one or more first generic objects. The first object library generates display data for the first generic objects and the display mixer coordinates the display of the display data for the first generic objects.

  • Patent number: 5064482
Abstract: A paste vehicle for use in a metal bearing solder paste composition having a heat-polymerizable binder is provided. This vehicle can be non-aqueous, inorganic salt-free and dispersed in a non-aqueous, organic liquid, and may be incorporated with a flux into a solder paste composition capable of utilizing an average particle size finer than 100 mesh. This paste has excellent anti-slump properties, requires no cleanup to remove residual solder reflow, and permits smaller more controlled joints to be formed.
