  • Patent number: 8361040
Abstract: A fluid path for delivery of a fluid comprises first and second flexible tubes, each tube defining a transverse formation extending generally perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. Used to maintain the transverse formation in each tube, a clip mechanism includes a body comprising opposing flanges, each opposing flange defining at least a pair of recesses, each of the pair of recesses receiving one of the first and second flexible tubes, respectively, to define the respective transverse formations. The clip mechanism includes a support section connecting the opposing flanges such that the clip mechanism extends across the transverse formations and maintains their configuration. Due to the transverse formations, fluid contained within either tube at one end portion thereof cannot flow through the length thereof to displace a less dense fluid contained therein at the other end portion thereof under gravitational flow.

  • Patent number: 8043195
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a support frame upon which is mounted a curvilinear track, the curvilinear track substantially conforming to a runner's footpath while striding. A first foot engaging support is secured to the curvilinear track for movement thereabout while exercising in accordance with the present invention. A resistance assembly is secured to the foot engaging support for applying resistance as a user moves the foot engaging support about the curvilinear track. A slide including a curvilinear carriage rides upon the curvilinear track and a first user engaging support is coupled to the slide for movement about the curvilinear track. A linear carriage rides upon a linear carriage rail supported by the support frame and a resistance assembly is coupled to the linear carriage. • Publication number: 20100204573
Abstract: A fluid path set for delivery of an injection fluid includes a flexible tube. The flexible tube has a first end and a second end and a length defined between the first and second ends when the flexible tube is straightened. The flexible tube has a longitudinal axis extending along the length of the flexible tube. The flexible tube defines a transverse formation extending generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the flexible tube. The fluid path set further includes a clip mechanism for maintaining the transverse formation in the flexible tube such fluid contained within the flexible tube at one end portion cannot flow through the length of the flexible tube to displace a less dense fluid contained within the flexible tube at the other end portion thereof by means of gravitational flow.

  • Publication number: 20070012870
Abstract: For a source-follower signal chain, the ohmic drop in the selection switch causes unacceptable voltage offset, non-linearity, and reduced small signal gain. For an op amp signal chain, the required bias current and the output noise rises rapidly with increasing the array format due to a rapid increase in the effective capacitance caused by the Miller effect boosting up the contribution of the bus capacitance. A new switched source-follower signal chain circuit overcomes limitations of existing op-amp based or source follower based circuits used in column multiplexers and data readout. This will improve performance of CMOS imagers, and focal plane read-out integrated circuits for detectors of infrared or ultraviolet light.
