  • Patent number: 4244536
Abstract: A hollow axially short and generally cylindrical body is provided and is open at one end. The other end of the body includes a closure end wall having a central portion which is displaced longitudinally of the body approximately one-half the length thereof toward the open end of the body and a pair of front and rear generally cylindrical aligned spool core sections are disposed within the body in front to rear aligned relation. The front and rear spool core sections include rear and front radially inwardly projecting annular end walls and front and rear radially outwardly projecting circumferential flanges. A generally cylindrical hub including a radially outwardly projecting forward end flange is also provided and the annular end walls of the spool sections are journalled on the hub, the forwardly displaced portion of the rear wall of the body being centrally apertured and a threaded fastener being secured through the hub and the rear wall central portion.

  • Patent number: 4061290
Abstract: A hollow, axially short and generally cylindrical body is provided and is open at one end. The other end of the body includes a closure end wall and a generally centrally disposed stub shaft portion is supported from and projects inwardly of the closure end wall toward the open end body. A wire spool, including a central elongated hollow core, and including a fixed inner end flange at one end is rotatably journaled on the stub shaft portion with the end flange opposing and closely spaced from the inner surface of the end wall. An outer end flange is removably secured over the outer end of the core and substantially close, but is rotatably received in the open end of the body.

  • Patent number: 4027566
Abstract: A horizontal base including a plurality of side by side horizontally spaced apart parallel guides is provided and a follower is selectively removably engageable with any one of the guides for guided movement therealong. A workpiece support is rotatably supported from the follower for angular displacement about an upstanding axis substantially normal to the plane containing the guides and the base is stationarily positionable on the horizontal table of a band saw or jig saw and a workpiece to have a constant radius arcuate cut made therein may be supported from the workpiece support and angularly displaced therewith in order that the blade of the saw may make the desired arcuate cut. The spacing of the parallel guide with which the follower is guidingly engaged from the blade of the saw determines the radius of curvature of the arcuate cut to be made.
