  • Publication number: 20240118785
Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein enable systems to translate three-dimensional experiences into user accessible experiences to improve accessibility for users with disabilities. This is accomplished by extracting components from a three-dimensional environment such as user avatars and furniture. The components are organized into component groups based on shared attributes. The component groups are subsequently organized into a flow hierarchy. The flow hierarchy is then presented to the user in an accessibility environment that enables interoperability with various accessibility tools such as screen readers, simplified keyboard inputs, and the like. Selecting a component group, and subsequently, a component through the accessibility environment accordingly invokes functionality within the three-dimensional environment. In this way, users with disabilities are empowered to fully interact with three-dimensional experiences.

  • Patent number: 11918479
Abstract: A prosthetic system for implantation between upper and lower vertebrae having an upper joint component and a lower joint component. The joint is adapted for implantation within a disc space between the upper and lower vertebrae, allowing the upper and lower vertebrae to move relative to one another. The system further includes a bridge component extending posteriorly from the lower joint component and from the disc space, with the bridge component having a lower contact surface configured for engaging a resected bone surface of a pedicle of the lower vertebrae. The distal end of the bridge component comprises a connection component adapted to receive a fastener.

  • Patent number: 8577821
Abstract: A method and apparatus for encoding the amplitude of frequency signals, into a temporal electrical spike pattern and a method for decoding the generated pattern by recognizing and classifying it with a correlating (associative pattern recognition) neuron like device. The first part of the system takes signals and converts their amplitude into a set of timed pulses. The timing of that pulse is a function of the amplitude of the incoming signal. Once a series of timed pulses have been created, they can be sent to a decoder. The decoder circuit uses bandpass filters and delays/gains a low pass summation. The recognition portion compares the timed input spikes with a known sample. Only when the input signals match the sample signals will the amplitudes be sufficient to meet the trigger threshold. When the output spike is generated, a pattern match has been found.

  • Patent number: 4024789
Abstract: An audible tone identifier comprises a transducer and amplifier for responding to audible tones, such as generated by a human voice speaking or singing, or a musical instrument, and a plurality of filters sharply tuned to the notes of one or more octaves or fractions thereof of the equal tempered chromatic musical scale or to other patterns of sounds that are to be individually identified. The outputs of the filters are connected to lamp driver circuits which in turn are connected through transposing plug-and-jack connectors and sharp-and-flat insertion switches to lamps on a display board, whereby any musical tone within the range of the device, received by the transducer, will be identified visually on the display board by the lighting of a lamp.
