Abstract: There is provided a child-resistant container having a top and bottom hingedly connected together, first, second and third cooperative locking devices on both the upper and lower members, the locking devices being operative such that a first locking device can be operated to permit a limited unlocking between the two members at which time the second and third locking devices must be operated to fully open the container. A double locking action on two of the locking devices is illustrated as well as an arrangement for dispensing a product from a blister pack within the container.

This provides a precise reinforcement of the foil layer.

Abstract: A pill dispensing device for use in dispensing a capsule from a blister pack which comprises first and second hingedly connected members, the second member having a support area and an aperture formed within the support area and having a resilient cushion element mounted within the support area. The first member has a pusher element extending outwardly therefrom, the arrangement being such that when the first and second members are moved in a hinged manner with respect to each other, the pressure element will push the capsule through the blister package to be dispensed thereby making the dispensing relatively easy despite a lack of strength or flexibility on the part of the user.

Abstract: A blister package has some provision for showing evidence of tampering and is child resistant. It is reinforced by a backing sheet made of a material which separates into strata on tearing and adhered to a rupturable film closing article containing pockets. The backing sheet is provided with tabbed tear strips overlying the pockets. On tearing the tear strips separate into strata indicating that opening has been started.

Abstract: A child-resistant tamper-evident package is taught wherein the product to be dispensed is enclosed in a blister packet, which in turn is enclosed in further packaging having tabs therein, the packaging child-resistant features while also being tamper-evident.
