    Abstract: A fall arrestor device for use in connection with a building having a roof under construction. The device includes a bracket for attaching to a top plate of a vertical wall, adjacent the edge of the roof. Extending downwardly from the bracket is a leg which hangs substantially parallel to the wall. Extending upwardly from the leg is a support arm having a receptacle on a free end thereof for receipt of the upright portion of a guard rail. A bracket member extends between the leg and the support arm, and the connection of the bracket member to the support arm, and the support arm to the leg, are variable such that the receptacle presents the guard rail vertically with respect to a variety of different pitched roofs and roofs of a variety of different width overhang portions.

    Abstract: A mechanism for transferring a pair of side-by-side cartons from one processing station to another, and accompanying device(s) for detecting any jam-up during the transfer, should one occur for any reason. One embodiment includes a photoelectric unit, a vacuum sensor, and a strobe signal for timing and detecting the presence of both signals to shut down the machine if either signal is abnormal. Another embodiment includes a second strobe signal for use as a back-up for the first strobe, or in lieu thereof, for timing and detecting the photoelectric signal only.

    Abstract: This disclosure illustrates and describes an electronic program control for controlling the filling operation for cartons supplied by one turret mechanism having a plurality of equally spaced mandrels to a compartmented conveyor which carries the cartons in pairs beneath a pair of filler nozzles. The electronic program control includes the switches, AND gates, shift registers and flip flops required to assure that, in the event a carton is missing for any reason from a conveyor compartment, the appropriate filler nozzle will not be actuated.
