The first flange extending substantially perpendicular to the web and having at least one first flange acoustical isolator through-hole or partially lanced-hole. At least a portion of the first acoustical isolator may pass through the first flange acoustical isolator through-hole or partially lanced-hole. The first acoustical isolator may be configured to acoustically isolate the stud and a first wall panel supported by the stud.

Abstract: This specification is to a knee wall support assembly used to support studs in a wall that does not stretch from the floor to the ceiling. These walls are often called knee walls, pony walls, half walls, and hip walls. Greater strength for the support is obtained attaching a C channeled framing member, like a stud, to a groove in a base plate and orienting the support so that the web of the framing member is perpendicular to the wall face.

The blocking component may be made by cold roll forming which bends a planar piece of steel into the web and two flanges and then remove a portion of the web on opposing sides to create the cars.
