  • Publication number: 20120246705
Abstract: Embodiments allow access to geographic data objects on a per-object basis. A client may send a plurality of requests for geographic data to display within a view frustum. Map data may include a layer with a plurality of assets. Each request may be authenticated by an access control filter, which determines whether the user is authorized to view the data requested.

  • Patent number: 8270024
Abstract: A printing apparatus for printing within a predefined print zone on a selected surface of a skewed object moving in a given direction of travel includes a bracket, at least two sensors at known positions adjacent to the passing object detecting the leading edge of a given surface, a positioning mechanism mounted on the bracket, a printhead mounted on the positioning mechanism and operable to print on the moving object selected surface, the positioning mechanism operable to position the printhead into a known correct printing position relative to the selected surface, and a controller communicating with the sensors, positioning mechanism, and printhead, and operable to calculate object skew in response to the sensor signals and to operate the positioning mechanism to position the printhead into the known correct printing position and to operate the printhead to print within the predefined print zone on the skewed moving object.

    Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.
Inventors: Thomas Daniel Brown, Mark Chambers, Robert Warren Rumford, Michael S. Wilson
  • Patent number: 8092006
Abstract: Methods and apparatus include a handheld printer manipulated by an operator to print an image on a media. An inkjet printhead and two position sensors front one another in a triangular configuration thereby providing a large printable area compared to the prior art. A frame commonly mounts the printhead and sensors and is biased to keep an acceptable paper to printer gap during use. A forward opening door accepts the printhead before printing.

Inventors: Thomas Daniel Brown, Gary Lee Noe, William Henry Reed
  • Patent number: 8020953
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a print engine for printing on a print medium. A device is communicatively coupled with the print engine. The device is programmed to set a throughput rate for the print engine. A controller reads the device, and operates the print engine at the throughput rate designated by the device.

  • Publication number: 20090153602
Abstract: A method for refilling a printing cartridge includes installing a printing cartridge in a cartridge refill system; establishing communication with a memory device associated with the printing cartridge to read cartridge data stored in the memory device; determining aspects of refilling of the printing cartridge based on at least a portion of the cartridge data; and refilling the printing cartridge based on a result of the determination.
