  • Publication number: 20240300429
Abstract: Responsive to a magnitude of current associated with power from a vehicle being supplied to upfitter loads approaching a predefined threshold, a controller discontinues supply of power to vehicle loads according to a user defined priority order of the vehicle loads such that the vehicle loads of lowest priority among the priority order of the vehicle loads are sequentially shed to maintain the magnitude less than the predefined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070234906
Abstract: An industrial vacuum loader is equipped with a composite silencer base to reduce unwanted noise. The composite silencer base includes a reactive dampening section and an absorptive dampening section. A blower (or vacuum pump) is mounted directly to the composite silencer base to further reduce unwanted noise generated by the blower (or vacuum pump).

  • Publication number: 20070226950
Abstract: A tangential cyclone separator includes a support, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and tube. The first sidewall extends away from the support and, includes a plurality of louvers each having a louver width and an inner edge. The plurality of inner edges define at least a portion of a first circle. The plurality of louvers are, spaced apart about the first circle. Each louver width defines a louver direction, and each louver direction and the first circle define a louver intersection. Each louver intersection and the first circle define a louver tangent line. Each louver tangent line is associated with a respective louver direction, where each louver tangent line and associated louver direction share a common louver intersection. Each louver direction and associated louver tangent form a louver angle, wherein each louver angle is approximately between 10° and 60°. The second sidewall extends upwardly from the support and includes an opening.

  • Publication number: 20060207230
Abstract: An improved industrial vacuum loader is equipped with a special filter door system to permit insertion, removal, inspection, and maintenance of filters during maintenance and to safely close and lock the filters during operation of the industrial vacuum loader. The industrial vacuum loader can have a solids-gas separation compartment with a tangential cyclone separator which is preferably positioned generally alongside and laterally offset from one or more filtering compartments to minimize turbulence and re-entrainment of the collected particulate material.

  • Publication number: 20050274094
Abstract: A specially arranged vacuum loader and industrial dust collector with a perforated plate tangential cyclone separator with angular perforations is provided to efficiently remove, readily collect, effectively separate and safely dispose of wet, dry and fibrous materials, including liquids and slurries. The special vacuum loader and industrial dust collector has a solids-gas separation compartment comprising a tangential cyclone separator, preferably a perforated plate tangential separator with angular perforations, which is positioned generally alongside and laterally offset from one or more filtering compartments to minimize turbulence and re-entrainment of the collected particulate material.

  • Publication number: 20050154259
Abstract: A magnetically guidable medical device for use within the large intestine of a human body. A magnetically guidable guide wire is introduced into the rectum of a body of a patient and maneuvered through the colon under the influence of a controlled magnetic field to a desired location within the body of the patient. An external magnetic field applying means applies an external magnetic field effective to guide the magnetically guidable member within the body of the patient. A colonoscope is advanced over the guide wire so that the advancement and placement of the colonoscope is aided by the magnetically guided guide wire. Either or both the magnetically guidable guide wire and the colonoscope can be viewed using a fluoroscope to assist in positioning it within the body of the patient.

  • Patent number: 6463269
Abstract: A product and system is disclosed for intelligently controlling the number of amplifier modules that are active in a linear amplification system. By exercising such control, the system can avoid using unnecessary power. The invention monitors the system and gathers information from signals associated with the system, particularly information concerning signal power. A control functionality evaluates the gathered information to decide how many modules are necessary to sufficiently operate the amplification system or to decide if it has been commanded to perform certain functions. Once this decision is made, the control functionality communicates control signals to the power amplification modules to activate the needed or desired number of modules and deactivate the unneeded or undesired number of modules. Likewise, the control functionality configures the splitter and the combiner according to the number of needed or desired amplifier modules. This gathering, evaluation, and control is conducted continuously.

  • Patent number: 4963172
Abstract: A special bagger unit is provided to remove and contain asbestos, hazardous material, and other particulate matter in an efficient, effective and safe manner. The special bagger unit operates under continuous negative pressure for all phases of operation while preventing emissions of asbestos and other particulates to the atmosphere. Desirably, the special bagger unit has a vacuum operated assembly with a filling member which communicates with an inlet port and a separate fluid outlet port. In the preferred embodiment, the filling member comprises a tubular vacuum cylinder which discharges asbestos and other particulate matter downwardly into a container, such as one or more sealed bags which can be placed in a drum or other vessel. The container is preferably supported and partially sealed by a support platform, such as a moveable platen, supported on a base.
