  • Publication number: 20240334142
Abstract: A voltage supply for an electronic device, such as a hearing aid instrument, to be worn on the body of a user. The voltage supply has a charge pump for converting a battery voltage by a conversion factor to an intermediate voltage. The charge pump can be changed over between at least two stages of the conversion factor. The voltage supply furthermore has a voltage regulator for reducing the intermediate voltage to an output voltage of a predefined setpoint value and a controller for reversibly changing over the charge pump between the stages of the conversion factor. The controller is configured to actuate the charge pump in accordance with a manipulated variable of the voltage regulator.

  • Patent number: 9942670
Abstract: A method operates a system of a hearing aid device and a communication device. The hearing aid device has an acousto-electrical transducer, a signal processing device and an electro-acoustic transducer. The communication device has a controller and an electro-acoustic transducer. The method includes the steps of: receiving of an incoming call by the communication device, signaling of the incoming call by the communication device by a first acoustic signal via the electro-acoustic transducer, receiving of the first acoustic signal by the acousto-electrical transducer of the hearing aid device, identifying of the first acoustic signal and carrying out of a first change of adjustment on the hearing aid device when the first acoustic signal has been identified.

  • Publication number: 20180020294
Abstract: A method checks the functioning and/or seating of a hearing aid. A plurality of sounds is acoustically rendered into a hearing aid seated in an auditory canal according to a user-specific audiogram. A user-specific reaction with respect to the auditory perception of each acoustically rendered sound is detected, and the functioning and/or the seating of the hearing aid in the auditory canal are inferred on the basis of the user-specific reaction.

  • Patent number: 8908890
Abstract: With a hearing aid device, the problem arises of having to match the output power and/or the frequency response of the hearing aid device to the level of hearing impairment of the patient as precisely as possible. In such cases allowance must be made for the noise level, which is a function of the technology used, to be kept as low as possible and for the signal-to-noise level to be as great as possible. A switching arrangement and/or a hearing aid device and method are provided in which the power amplifier is embodied with at least two output stages. The outputs of the individual output stages can be connected in parallel by means of a controllable switching facility. A simple adjustment of the output power and/or frequency response can be achieved in this way by simply connecting a corresponding number of output stages in parallel.

  • Patent number: 8325953
Abstract: A Hearing apparatuses and a hearing apparatus chip are provided. A hearing apparatus chip for processing a signal of a hearing apparatus includes a signal-processing component and a first ground wire connected to a first terminal of the component. The signal processing component includes a second ground wire galvanically separated from the first ground wire on the chip and is connected to a second terminal of the component by way of a capacitor, in order to conduct interference signals as a result of electromagnetic couplings. In particular, the sensitive ground of a preamplifier is not then interfered with by leakage currents.

  • Patent number: 7881487
Abstract: The invention is intended to simplify the operation of a hearing aid device. Toward that end, means are present in the hearing aid device for storing the value of a parameter which can be set by the hearing aid device wearer by actuation of a control element, which parameter value was valid before the hearing aid device was turned off, with the result that the value of the parameter that was valid before the hearing aid device was turned off will be set automatically as the current value of the parameter after the device is turned off and then turned back on again.

  • Publication number: 20080232620
Abstract: The current consumption of a processor system in particular for hearing devices is to be reduced. To this end, a processor system with a first processor, which has at least one output and at least one second processor, which has at least one input is provided. The output of the first processor can be directly connected to the input of the second processor using a switching facility. The direct connection of the output and input of the processors obviates the need for computing power for the communication between the processors, thereby resulting in a considerable saving of current.

  • Patent number: 6882736
Abstract: In a method for operating a hearing aid or hearing aid system, and a hearing aid or hearing aid system, wind noises are detected by analyzing the output signals of at least two microphones. If wind noises are present, the signal processing unit of the hearing aid or hearing aid system and/or the signal paths of microphones are adapted in order to reduce such noises.

  • Patent number: 6628794
Abstract: For level limitation of a time-discrete signal in a digital hearing aid having at least an input transducer, an A/D converter, a signal processing unit and an output transducer, the sampling rate of the time-discrete signal is boosted in the signal path following the A/D conversion and signal values of the time-discrete signal with a boosted sampling rate are limited to a maximum value. Harmonics that arise upon limitation of the signal values that are folded back into the audible frequency range are thus suppressed.
