Publication number: 20220289007Abstract: A drive system for a spoiler roof assembly of a motor vehicle, having a support bar connected to a movable roof part, a control mechanism engaging the support bar to shift the support bar between closed, ventilation and open positions, and a guide rail assembly in which the control mechanism is guided for longitudinal displacement. The control mechanism has a rear deployment lever coupled to the support bar by an upper point of articulation and mounted for pivoting between rest and deployed positions on a displaceable deployment carriage. A forced mechanical control shifts the deployment lever between the rest and deployed positions depending on displacement of the deployment carriage. The forced machanical control is formed by a control lever pivotably mounted at one end on the deployment lever and at the other end on a stationary bearing section of the guide rail assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2022Publication date: September 15, 2022Inventors: Thomas DINTNER, Martin PERSON

Patent number: 7896430Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle roof with a roof opening (12) and with a roof section (10) having a roof tip (16) pointing to the front of the vehicle (14) and a roof end (18) pointing to the rear of the vehicle (12). The roof section (10) can be moved along guide tracks (23), which run on both sides of the roof opening, out of a closed position, which closes the roof opening (2), into an open position, which at least partially opens up the roof opening. In order to optimize the vehicle roof to the effect that, in the partially open position and/or during the opening movement while under way, only very low travelling noises, if any at all, are produced and the highest requirements with regard to the sealing in the closed position are met, the opening movement from the closed position of the roof section begins with a movement of the roof end (18) into a lowered position below the roof opening (2).Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2007Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Webasto AGInventors: Peter Reihl, Thomas Dintner, Adam Wagner, Reinhard Filsinger, Stephan Kraus

Patent number: 7066518Abstract: A cabriolet vehicle with a combined convertible top-luggage stowage space (16), of which one partial volume constitutes a the convertible top stowage volume (14) and another partial volume constitutes a luggage stowage volume which borders the convertible top stowage volume (14), has a checking device (24, 30, 34) for checking the convertible top stowage volume (14). The checking device has a movement element (24) that can be moved along a boundary (22) which separates the convertible top stowage volume (14) from the luggage stowage volume and which can be remotely controlled. The movement element is driven by a drive device (30) and is provided with sensors (34, 36) such that, during the motion of the movement element (24) preparatory to stowage of a hard top convertible roof, the presence of articles which project from the luggage stowage volume into the convertible top stowage volume (14) can be detected.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2003Date of Patent: June 27, 2006Assignee: Webasto Vehicle Systems International GmbHInventors: Thomas Dintner, Peter Reihl
