  • Patent number: 11334868
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which cash deposits may be made at merchant locations who support such deposits. Using a mobile phone or other hand-held device, a bank customer requests a cash deposit from a banking app, receives a barcode on the mobile device, the barcode containing embedded information indicating the cash deposit amount, and presents the barcode to the merchant, along with the cash to be deposited. Once the transaction with the merchant is complete, the account of the bank customer's account is credited with the cash amount. The bank uses behavioral and historical data of the bank customer to customize a cash deposit limit for the customer.

  • Publication number: 20210232952
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system is described for customizing user accounts based on user actions, which may include receiving, via a user device, a first user input requesting to create an account for a user. The system may further receive, via the user device, a second user input selecting an account type for the account from a plurality of account types. In response to these user inputs, the system may retrieve, from a server, one or more account requirements for the account type, determine that the user meets the one or more account requirements and create an account in response to determining that the user meets the one or more account requirements.

  • Publication number: 20070204144
Abstract: A modular BIOS update mechanism provides a standardized method to update options ROMs and to provide video and processor microcode upgrades in a computer system without requiring a complete replacement of the system BIOS. The MBU mechanism provides several advantages. First, new features and BIOS bugs from earlier release may be delivered to an installed base of end-user systems even if direct OEM support cannot be identified. Also, BIOS components may be provided as a validated set of revisions. With resort to a validation matrix, BIOS updates may be managed easily. The modular BIOS update is particularly useful in systems having several independent BIOS's stored within unitary firmware.
