  • Publication number: 20100116796
Abstract: The system comprises a buckling arm robot with a robot frame (1) and an articulated arm (2) and a fiber optic cable (5) which is connected to one end of the articulated arm (2) and through which a laser beam (11) with a beam axis (10) is coupled into the articulated arm (2) in the direction of a first axis of the articulated arm (2). The fiber optic cable (5) is indirectly connected to the stationary end of the articulated arm (2) via an alignment unit (6) which comprises a collimating lens system (13) and at least two alignment mirrors (12.1, 12.2), each of which mirrors can swivel about at least one axis of rotation and move along at least one axis of translation, with the axes of rotation and the axes of translation being disposed at right angles to each other so that the beam axis (10) of the laser beam (11) can be made to coincide with the optical axis (4).

  • Publication number: 20080152604
Abstract: Cosmetic or dermatological preparations are comprised of from 0.01 to 5% by weight of a dicarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of 8-hexadecene-1,16-dicarboxylic acid decanedioic acid nonanedioic acid and combinations thereof and from 0.01 to 5% by weight of ascorbic acid, salts of ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid derivatives and combinations thereof. These preparations provide skin-lightening and/or hair-lightening preparations which inhibit melanin biosynthesis and do not damage hair and/or skin.

  • Publication number: 20070142775
Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable trumpet valve tube cassette assembly, as well as, a surgical irrigation instrument that includes a probe assembly, a pump, a removable pump cartridge, and a socket. The probe assembly provides passage of fluids for irrigating the body interior and for evacuating matter from the body interior. The pump provides for pumping irrigation fluid through the probe assembly into the body interior. A pump cartridge defines a pumping chamber. Electronic control circuitry includes an electronics controller and a trumpet valve switch interface. The electronics controller includes a pulse generator that generates pulses, the duty cycle of the pulses controlling the speed of the motor. The trumpet valve switch interface is in electronic connection to a switch, the interface providing a signal to the controller.
