  • Patent number: 10230674
Abstract: Managing discussion threads within an electronic communication system includes detecting that an electronic message sent from a sender to a first recipient is forwarded from the sender to a second recipient and, responsive to the detecting, identifying at least one electronic message related to the forwarded message exchanged between the sender and the second recipient as a virtual discussion thread. A client is notified of that the virtual discussion thread exists and is correlated with the electronic message from the sender. The virtual discussion thread is provided to the client of the first recipient.

  • Publication number: 20070262078
Abstract: A circular lid hinged to open and close a circular cap having a web with a plurality of orifices cooperates with a two-component seal and two-component lock in a manner such that the lid is secured in position when depressed while at the same time providing a positive seal preventing any intake of moisture from ambient humidity to enter a cylindrical container to agglomerate the particulate inside and/or to clog its dispensing orifices.

  • Publication number: 20050172779
Abstract: An automated player for stringed instruments having a plucking mechanism and a fretting mechanism. The plucking mechanism includes a string contacting portion rotationally mounted relative to a corresponding instrument string with a rotational axis substantially perpendicular to the string, a first drive member for creating relative motion between the string and the string contacting portion. The fretting mechanism includes a carriage in depressive contact with the instrument string and a second drive member selectively positioning the carriage creating relative movement between the carriage and the string. The plucking mechanism and the fretting mechanism are attached to a frame which is attached to the instrument. The player includes an electronic control circuit that controls operation of the plucking and fretting mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 5494200
Abstract: A container for siftable products such as powders, solid particulates, spices, condiments and the like, comprises a bottle having a threaded neck, a screw cap for the bottle, and a sifter member disposed in the cap. The cap and sifter member are yieldably held together to constitute an assemblage which is applied to the bottle after the latter has been filled. The applying of the cap to the bottle forces the sifter to be transferred to and firmly secured on the bottle neck by cooperable configurations thereon, which provide a more aggressive grip or securement than the hold of the cap on the sifter. In consequence, whenever thereafter the cap is removed from the bottle, the sifter will remain operatively secured to the bottle to carry out its function.

  • Patent number: 5456463
Abstract: A goalie hockey stick includes a blade and a shaft joined at a heel, the shaft including a widened shaft portion and a narrow handle portion. An ergonomic handgrip is formed between the widened shaft portion and the handle portion. The handle portion is offset from the widened shaft portion to enable the lower surface of the handle portion to be close to but spaced from the playing surface when the hockey stick is held in a horizontal position against the playing surface such that a puck is prevented from sliding thereunder, but the gloved fingers of the goalie can grip anywhere on the shaft or the handle. An endcap is formed at the end of the shaft to offset the weight of the blade and has a stop portion to maintain a predetermined distance between the lower surface of the handle portion and the playing surface when the hockey stick is held in a horizontal position against the playing surface. The hockey stick is graphically treated to conceal the visible position of the blade during play.
