  • Patent number: 10445408
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for identifying digital fonts. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods detect a digital font, font characteristics, and a text structure with regard to digital text in an electronic document. Moreover, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods utilize the detected font characteristics and text structure to search for complementary digital fonts. In particular, one or more embodiments include systems and methods that generate a search query based on determined font characteristics and/or text structures and utilize the search query to automatically identify, recommend, and provide complementary digital fonts for utilization in the electronic document.

  • Publication number: 20060218950
Abstract: An adaptive defrost control method and device for controlling a damper door during a defrost cycle is provided. Before entering the defrost cycle, the adaptive defrost control logic determines if the damper door is open. If the damper door is open, the defrost cycle is suspended until the door is closed. If the damper door is closed, the adaptive defrost control logic activates a barrier between the damper door motor and a power supply so that the damper door may not be opened during the defrost cycle. After the defrost cycle is completed, the adaptive defrost control logic removes the barrier between the damper door motor and a power supply. The damper door may then be opened and closed as necessary. Accordingly, warm moist air from the defrost cycle does not enter the fresh food compartment.

  • Publication number: 20060150249
Abstract: A method of managing network usage by defining a set of linguistic patterns, where each linguistic pattern is associated with a condition that is to be monitored. Network packets are captured during transmission and analyzed to identify linguistic patterns. Captured network packets are scored based on similarity of at least one linguistic pattern to one or more of the defined set of linguistic patterns. When a packet that is scored above a specified threshold value is identified, at least one responsive action is implemented. In this manner, a system implementing the method is able to identify network traffic that is associated with prospective malicious activity and thereby provide an early warning before damage has occurred.

  • Publication number: 20050144028
Abstract: A property management system includes a tenant system associated with a tenant residing at the rental property, an owner system associated with an owner of the rental property, and a plurality of provider systems, wherein each of the provider systems is associated with a provider configured to provide goods or services to a tenant and/or the rental property. The tenant system, owner system, and provider systems are all configured to communicate over a network (e.g., the Internet). A property management system, also coupled to the network, is configured to communicate with the various systems and to coordinate an income stream from the tenant to the owner. The income stream has two components: one component (a traditional income stream) derived from a rental obligation of the tenant, and a second income stream (a non-traditional income stream) is derived from the property management system's coordination of the plurality of providers in response to a request received from the tenant system.
