    Abstract: A donor sheet for providing a protective cover over a thermally transferred image which comprises a carrier base sheet having a surface coated with a layer of transparent thermally transferable cover material, the cover material comprising a layer of submicron lamina particles and sufficient of a thermoplastic binder to provide the layer with physical integrity and adhesion to the carrier base sheet is disclosed. The lamina particles of the cover material are incorporated to provide a physical barrier for reducing ingress of dye-leaching materials such as grease and plasticizers commonly found in plastic wallets and other such containers.
