Abstract: Surgical constructs, assemblies, kits and methods of tissue fixation are disclosed. Glenoid augmentation is conducted with one or more soft tissue grafts placed on the anterior glenoid to fill a glenoid defect. Knotted or knotless suture anchors can deliver and fixate the soft tissue graft within the glenoid bone defect. Suture anchors can also secure the native ligament to the soft tissue graft and provide stability to the shoulder joint. • Publication number: 20240215973
Abstract: Methods for tissue repairs with mattress stitch are disclosed. A mattress stitch is created with a suture passer and a suturing construct using only one portal and without shuttling steps. The suture passer is provided with two sharp teeth or tines that pierce tissue (or tissue and associated graft) at two different locations. The suturing construct can be a loop terminating in a tail. The tail is passed from one tooth to another and then secured into a securing mechanism of one of the two sharp teeth. The tail is passed through the loop to form a cinch loop around and through the tissue (or the tissue and the graft).

  • Patent number: 12011162
Abstract: Reinforced surgical constructs and methods of tissue repairs. A surgical construct can offer both repair and shuttling capabilities to allow for a single pass to load multiple sutures at once. A surgical construct includes one or more repair sutures provided with one or more junctions (one or more releasable stitches), to allow the repair sutures to be joined and subsequently released. At least one of the one or more junctions (releasable stitches) can be formed by weaving back and forth another flexible strand (releasing suture) through the one or more repair sutures. When the flexible strand is pulled, it pulls out the one or more junctions (releasable stitches) from the repair sutures, freeing the repair sutures. The surgical construct may be part of a knotless or knotted construct.
