In this method, the foil web (44) and/or the at least one further material web (41) are guided, in particular cyclically, at least approximately in a vertical direction along the at least one welding station (45, 46, 47, 104), and/or the continuous foil web (44) and/or the at least one further material web (41) are welded, in particular cyclically, by ultrasonic welding.
