  • Patent number: 8587725
Abstract: A method of digitally processing images and/or audio in the form of a plurality of data samples, each data sample having a value representative of a visual or audio property, the method comprising: identifying a first set of data samples having values outside a first predefined range of data values; identifying a second set of data samples having values outside a second predefined range of data values, the second predefined range being within the first predefined range; and applying a non-linear scaling algorithm to the data values of the first and second sets of data samples to generate a set of modified data samples having data values within the first predefined range.

  • Publication number: 20070175533
Abstract: An improved flexible hose is described. The flexible hose may have a helical wire core with at least one thermoplastic layer over the core forming the hose. The helical wire forms a plurality of peaks separated by adjacent valleys on the hose. The peaks have a protective strip over the peaks that may extending along the peaks on the hose. The protective strip covers substantially only the peaks while leaving a major portion of the valleys uncovered by the strip.

  • Patent number: 7156127
Abstract: An improved flexible hose for carrying fluids is disclosed. The hose has a first end and a second end, and is typically in a retracted position when no tensile force placed on an end of the hose and in an extended condition when a tensile force of a pulling nature is placed on an end of the hose. The hose has a thermoplastic cover on its outer surface. The thermoplastic cover has an interior surface and an exterior surface. On the interior surface there is a helical member adhered thereto this helical member being comprised of a material capable of carrying a current of electricity. The hose of the present invention stretches at least 100 percent over its at rest position when a pulling force is placed on one end of the hose.
