  • Patent number: 11346706
Abstract: Items may be stored on a fixture of a facility using one or more accessories, such as trays or bins. Weighing modules that include one or more load cells may be mounted to a crossbar of the fixture. The accessories of the fixture may then be mounted to the crossbar via the weighing modules. The load cells within each weighing module can collect weight data associated with items stowed in the accessories that are coupled to the weighing module. When a weight change is detected at the fixture, a particular load cell is identified as the source of the weight change. Once a load cell is identified, the accessory coupled to the load cell is identified, as well as the types of items stowed therein. Interaction data can then be determined to indicate a type of item that was added to or removed from the accessory of the fixture.

  • Patent number: 11013140
Abstract: Cable housing assemblies include frames and cable carriers slidably mounted to channels provided at edges of the frames. The cable carriers may house or support male or female connectors to the cables, which may be power or communications cables (e.g., Ethernet cables) that extend from the connectors within the cable carriers into the channels, and through voids within the frames to power sources or communications systems. The cable carriers are releasably inserted into channels at edges of the frames, and permitted to slide in either direction (e.g., up or down) to various positions within such channels, in order to make power or communications services available at such positions. When installed in association with a shelving unit, e.g., between a backerboard and shelves, the cable carriers may be used to provide power or communications services available to such shelves provided at any height within the shelving unit.

  • Patent number: 10809122
Abstract: Shelves or other fixtures may be used to support items at a facility. Weighing modules including load cells may be used at the fixtures to acquire weight data indicative of changes to the fixture as items are added or removed from the fixture. Weighing modules may be modular and repositionable with respect to a crossbar or other supporting member that provides electrical power and data connectivity. This allows for the fixtures to be easily reconfigured to accommodate items of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 10696454
Abstract: A combination carrying device includes a rigid basket having a flexible bag nested therein. The flexible bag may be formed from one or more fabrics or like materials and define a tapered volume having a pair of handle extensions. The rigid basket may be formed from plastics or like materials and include rotatable handles mounted to sides of the rigid basket via one or more mounting bores. A customer carrying a combination carrying device in a retail establishment may place one or more items in the flexible bag nested within the rigid basket, and extract the flexible bag from the rigid basket after executing a purchase for the items therein.

  • Patent number: 10583973
Abstract: A combination carrying device includes a rigid basket having a flexible bag nested therein. The flexible bag may be formed from one or more fabrics or like materials and define a tapered volume having a pair of handle extensions. The rigid basket may be formed from plastics or like materials and include rotatable handles disposed on an upper perimeter thereof, and may also define a tapered volume which corresponds to the tapered volume of the flexible bags. A customer carrying a combination carrying device in a materials handling facility (e.g., a warehouse or retail establishment) may place one or more items in the flexible bag nested within the rigid basket, and extract the flexible bag from the rigid basket upon arriving at a destination or after executing a purchase for the items therein.

  • Patent number: 10466095
Abstract: A fixture includes a shelf upon which items may be placed. In one implementation, the shelf is supported by four load cells that provide load cell data that may be used to calculate weight data for the load on the shelf. The load cells are mounted underneath a frame, with an upper portion of a load mount extending upward through the frame and engaged to the shelf. The shelf and the frame include stiffeners to increase rigidity, improving the quality of the load cell data. Electronics and a wiring harness are located underneath the frame. In this configuration, assembly of the fixture may be accomplished completely from the underside, simplifying assembly.

  • Patent number: 8628220
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light emitting diode, LED, light source that may be arranged for retrofitting into a luminaire employing an incandescent light source. The light source comprises a light guide into which light from one or more LEDs in a light unit arranged at one end of the light guide is injected, and a reflector having a reflecting surface arranged at the other end of the light guide and facing towards the light guide capable of reflecting light incident on the reflecting surface. According to the present invention, the reflecting surface can be arranged in a number of exemplary ways such as to enable the light emitted from the light source to have a spatial intensity distribution that is similar to the light intensity distribution of an incandescent light source.
