  • Publication number: 20240005176
Abstract: The present invention uses a novel method of using machine learning (ML) algorithms to train predictive models for content classification to spot bias, non-truths, miss-information and altered reality in publicly published media content. The predictive ML models automatically identify quality ratings, truth and honesty, content and site ranking, fact summarization and publishing history to quickly identify certain misinformation embedded within the media content. The purpose of the models is to quickly analyze and identify for the consumer when, where and what may have been altered or may be misleading information in the content. Thus, independent of human positioning or bias, the present invention teaches one knowledgeable in the art how to build and deploy AI based models that independently rank and classify different published media.

  • Patent number: 9843612
Abstract: A system and method for supporting a multi-participant voice conference call using PSTN and Internet networks is described. The method for supporting a multi-participant voice conference call includes receiving voice from a PSTN client. The method also includes receiving voice data from a moderator and from at least one remote client connected to the Internet. The method then proceeds to mix the voice data from the PSTN client with the voice data from the moderator into a first mixed voice data that is transmitted to the remote client that is connected to the Internet. The method also mixes the voice data from the moderator with the voice data from the remote client connected to the Internet into a second mixed voice data that is transmitted to the PSTN client.

  • Patent number: 9094525
Abstract: A multi-participant conference system and method is described. The multi-participant system includes a PSTN client, at least one remote client and a first participant client. The PSTN client communicates audio data and the remote clients communicate audio-video data. The first participant client includes a voice over IP (VoIP) encoder, a VoIP decoder, a first audio mixer, and a second audio mixer. The VoIP encoder compresses audio data transported to the PSTN client. The VoIP decoder then decodes audio data from the PSTN client. The first audio mixer mixes the decoded audio data from the PSTN client with the audio-video data from the first participant into a first mixed audio-video data stream transmitted to the remote client. The second audio mixer mixes the audio-video data stream from the first participant with the audio-video data stream from each remote client into a second mixed audio transmitted to the PSTN client.

  • Patent number: 6008796
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for rendering curved surfaces in a graphics system. The appearance of a curved surface is created by varying color shades across an object. The graphics systems represents each primary color with fewer than eight bits. The present invention maintains smooth transaction between color shades despite using fewer than eight bits to represent color. An eight bit color shade value is truncated, with the most significant bits being saved and used as a color value. The least significant bits that are truncated are used to determine which of the adjacent color values to use to render pixels. Thus, if five bits are saved and used to represent a color, the three least significant truncated bits are used to determine the appropriate mix of the closest five bit shades. The three truncated bits are used to select an entry from a ramp table and a control signal from a look-up table selects a bit from the selected ramp table entry.
