  • Publication number: 20250050837
Abstract: In system and methods for loss mitigation, accident data associated with a vehicle accident involving a driver may be collected. The accident data may be analyzed, and a likely severity of the vehicle accident may be determined based upon the analysis of the accident data. A communication related to emergency assistance or an emergency assistance recommendation may be generated based upon the determined likely severity of the vehicle accident, and transmitted, via wireless communication, from one or more remote servers to a mobile device associated with the driver A wireless communication from the driver indicating approval or modification of the emergency assistance or emergency assistance recommendation may be received. A third party may be notified, via a communication sent from the remote server(s), of requested emergency assistance as approved or modified by the driver. An estimated insurance claim may also be generated based upon vehicle accident likely severity.

  • Patent number: 11068711
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for acquiring a biometric image. A biometric camera system can position a lens of a biometric camera between a pixel array of the biometric camera and an iris. The pixel array can acquire an image of the iris using light reflected from the iris and transmitted through the lens of the biometric camera. The lens can increase a pixels per iris (PPi) value of the image of the iris acquired by the pixel array, by applying optical positive distortion to the light reflected from the iris when the light is optically directed through the lens. A processor can provide a biometric image for biometric matching, by image-processing the acquired image of the iris having the increased PPi value, with an inverse function of the optical positive distortion.

  • Patent number: 5938646
Abstract: A medical storage assembly for reusable medical equipment includes a main storage bag having an opening, a bottom and an interconnecting wall which is operatively suspended from a mounting member that can be removably secured to a vertical support pole. A pivotable rigid lid member is connected to the mounting member and is configured to enable the closing of the opening of the medical storage bag. The medical storage bag can include a plurality of sub-storage bags that are removably mounted within the main storage bag and are removably connected together to provide open configurations whereby different types of reusable medical equipment can be stored. Alternatively, the main storage bag can hold used blood product containers and can be provided with an exterior compartment member of a configuration to hold medical forms that identify the recipient patient with the used blood product container.

  • Patent number: 5234965
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing flexible, semi-flexible or rigid polyurethane foam plastics from a polyfunctional isocyanate and a polyhydric compound. More specifically, the invention involves the substitution of some portion of the hydroxy groups on the polyhydric compound with acetoacetate groups. Such substitution reduces the viscosity of the polyhydric resin without effecting the performance properties of the foams. Various substitution levels can be used depending on the desired level of viscosity reduction.
