  • Patent number: 6189867
Abstract: A load-handling device comprising a pair of pulley assemblies each having a body, at least one pulley supported by the body, and having a peripheral outer surface, a rope secured at one end to a support structure and entrained about each of the outer surfaces to interconnect the pulleys in a load-handling arrangement. Each of the pulley assemblies include a one way clutch acting between the body and the pulley to inhibit rotation relative to the body in one direction. The surfaces of the pulleys thereby providing frictional engagement for the rope in the one direction to facilitate handling of the load.

  • Patent number: 5515836
Abstract: A tiller adjustment system for an archery bow includes a tiller adjustment knob for precisely adjusting the tiller of a bow limb. A locking mechanism secures the tiller adjustment knob in place to ensure that the precise tiller adjustments are not disturbed, even when the bow is broken down for travelling and storage. A specialized spacer with a curved top surface is disposed within a similarly curved ceiling of an internal cavity formed in the tiller adjustment knob. In addition, a biasing mechanism in the form of two spring steel members are positioned in the bottom of the limb pocket to urge the bow limb into engagement with the tiller adjustment knob.

  • Patent number: 4366022
Abstract: Apparatus for securing plural vanes on an arrow shaft. Each of the vanes has an elongate fin and a flared base adapted to be glued to the shaft. The apparatus includes a support on which the arrow is mounted for axial travel along a path. Angularly spaced about the path are plural adhesive applicators and associated vane carriers. The applicators are actuatable to apply adhesive to axially extending angularly spaced regions on the shaft. Each carrier has a slot dimensioned to exclude and to receive releasably the base and fin of a vane, respectively. After application of adhesive to the shaft, the carriers and vanes mounted releasably thereon are shifted toward the shaft to place the bases of the vanes firmly against adhesive-coated regions on the shaft. After adhesive set-up, the carriers are moved away from the shaft to disengage the vanes.
