The processor secures a first container including a first dosage form of medication in a first location and a second container including a second dosage form of the medication in a second location within an automated dispensing device. The processor also receives a selection identifying an order for the medication, the order including at least a maximum amount to administer and determines that the first dosage form and the second dosage form are sufficient to provide the maximum amount. The processor also selects the first dosage form as preferable over the second dosage form based on one or more determined characteristics of the first dosage form and of the second dosage form and activates the automated dispensing device to permit access to the first location.

The service interfaces carry packets having multiple classes of service, while each of the plurality of transport interfaces carries packets of a single class of service. A differentiated services codepoint profile is associated with each service interface and maps a differentiated services codepoint value of a data packet to a class of service and a drop precedence. The data packet is assigned to a transport interface based on its class of service and its drop precedence. Other factors, such as the destination of the data packet may be considered when assigning the data packet to a transport interface. Data packets from different transport interfaces are preferably enqueued in different queues of a destination service interface.

    Abstract: A multi-protocol switch that supports both ATM and IP traffic and method for use is presented. The multi-protocol switch associates certain input connections, as identified by virtual path identifier/virtual connection identifier (VPI/VCI), with either IP or ATM traffic. When the connection identifier for a cell received indicates that the cell is an ATM cell, the multi-protocol switch forwards the cell through the switch, where the forwarding is based on the connection identifier for the cell. If the connection identifier for a cell indicates that the cell is IP traffic, the cell is stored with other cells included in the IP packet to which the cells correspond within the ingress line card of the switch. The destination address included in the packet is used to determine a forwarding decision for the cells included in the packet. After at least partial reassembly, the packet is segmented and forwarded through the switch based on the forwarding decision determined from the destination address.

    Abstract: This invention relates to the use of a unique apparatus and method for extracting radioactive components from liquids, such as electrophoresis buffers. In the present invention, the radioactive liquid is pumped or transported by other suitable means and is passed through a cartridge having an elongated chamber that contains an exchange medium. The exchange medium, i.e. exchange resin, is contained within the elongated chamber between an upper frit and a lower frit. Further, the cartridge has a means within the elongated chamber for retaining pressure between the upper frit and the lower frit. The nucleotides, being charged molecules, bind to the exchange medium and are removed from the liquid. The liquid then exits the cartridge and has such a low amount of radioactivity that it can be disposed of to a conventional drain.

The container has an outer shell, a first pad element and a second pad element. The pad elements have an inside surface and an outside surface. Compressible elements are coupled to the outside surfaces of the pad elements. The inside surfaces of the pad elements are oppositely aligned with respect to each other inside the outer shell. The first and second pad elements include a first and a second longitudinal slot respectively, the slots aligned opposite each other. During use, the container is placed on an assembly line having at least one work station. A board component is inserted into the container along the longitudinal slots. The board component is removed from the container at the work station. Work then is performed on the board component. The board component is placed back into the container after performing the work and the board component is shipped inside the container.

    Abstract: A weldable abrasion resistant ceramic brick is formed with spaced recesses extending angularly into the brick to undercut a surface thereof and interlock with a weldable insert having angularly extending projections mating with and insertable into the recesses. Each recess may be defined by a wall inclined into the undercut for camming an aligned projection into the undercut. The insert and brick may be interlocked and thereafter welded to a substrate, or the insert may first be welded to the substrate and thereafter interlocked with the brick. The invention is particularly useful with comparatively thin abrasion resistant wear plates that heretofore could not be welded satisfactorily to a substrate.
