  • Patent number: 8425923
Abstract: This invention relates to emulsion compositions that can warm on contact with ambient moisture and can be used as lubricants on the skin of a person. They may be formulated in the form of a lotion and maintain stability for a significant period of time.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 16, 2008
Date of Patent: April 23, 2013
Assignee: Dow Corning Corporation and McNeil-PPC, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6986918
Abstract: The present invention relates to an article for association with a motor vehicle. The article may include a base, and a plurality of inserts received in the base. Each insert has at least two characteristics. The at least two characteristics of each insert causes the plurality of inserts to form a substantially unique article profile.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 27, 2001
Date of Patent: January 17, 2006
    Assignee: DCI Marketing, Inc.

  • Patent number: 4771465
Abstract: A speech analyzer and synthesizer system using a sinusoidal encoding and decoding technique for voiced frames and noise excitation or multipulse excitation for unvoiced frames. For voiced frames, the analyzer transmits the pitch, values for a subset of offsets defining differences between harmonic frequencies and a fundamental frequency, total frame energy, and linear predictive coding, LPC, coefficients. The synthesizer is responsive to that information to determine the harmonic frequencies from the offset information for a subset of the harmonics and to determine the remaining harmonics from the fundamental frequency. The synthesizer then determines the phase for the fundamental frequency and harmonic frequencies and determines the amplitudes of the fundamental and harmonics using the total frame energy and the LPC coefficients. Once the phase and amplitudes have been determined for the fundamental and harmonic frequencies, the synthesizer performs a sinusoidal analysis.

  • Patent number: 4759470
Abstract: A device for use in washing automobile windshields, the device comprising a receptacle including a front wall having first and second openings therein, a first bin for holding and dispensing towels, and second bin for holding water and a windshield washing device. The first bin has an upper end and includes a front panel having a lower end having an opening therein, a back panel spaced apart from the front panel and having a portion opposite the opening slanting toward the lower end of the front panel, and a towel dispenser above the opening for supporting towels in the upper end and for dispensing towels through the opening. The first bin is removably received in the first opening in the front wall of the receptacle such that the opening communicates with the exterior of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4168099
Abstract: A multi-position examination chair for supporting a patient and assuming selected ones of a plurality of examination positions which permit a plurality of standard obstetric and gynecologic examinations to be performed upon the patient includes a base for providing support and a chair mounted on the base. The chair includes a plurality of movable chair portions which are movable with respect to each other. An hydraulic power arrangement is provided for moving each of the chair portions into desired relative positions such that the plurality of examination positions may be achieved. A plurality of switch means are provided, with each such switch means associated with a respective one of the examination positions. A control means is responsive to the plurality of switch means for controlling operation of the hydraulic power arrangement. Actuation of each of the switch means results in the chair portions moving into the examination position associated with the actuated switch means.
