Publication number: 20230400063Abstract: A bearing assembly is disclosed, comprising: an outer race and a plurality of rolling elements associated with the outer race. An inner race adapted to receive a shaft therein is rotatably disposed within the outer race such that the plurality of rolling elements are disposed between the inner and outer races. A cylindrical extension forming a plurality of tabs symmetrically arranged around the entire periphery of the extension is adapted to engage the shaft. A clamp collar that is installable around the cylindrical extension is defined by a circular wall with at least one threaded opening extending through the circular wall. The threaded member extends through one of the threaded openings to make contact with and apply a biasing force on one of the plurality of tabs towards the shaft when the shaft is disposed in the inner race to secure the inner race on the shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2023Publication date: December 14, 2023Applicant: Dodge Industrial, Inc.Inventors: Thomas E. Kuckhoff, James G. Saxon

Patent number: 11661969Abstract: A bearing cover assembly can be assembled to a bearing housing in which a rolling element bearing is accommodated. The bearing housing assembly includes an annular adapter and an end cap that can be mated together. The annular adapter can have a tapered inner annular surface and can be inserted into the housing bore of the bearing housing. The end cap can have a corresponding outer tapered surface. When the end cap is inserted into the adapter hole defined by the annular adapter, the sliding contact between the tapered inner annular surface and the outer surface radially expands the annular adapter inside the housing bore creating a positive engagement retaining the bearing cover assembly to the bearing housing.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2022Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: Dodge Industrial, Inc.Inventors: James G. Saxon, Tyler J. Erickson, Thomas E. Kuckhoff, William G. Hewitt, Marshall C. Corbett, Matthew J. Kelly

Patent number: 11130639Abstract: A modular pulley assembly for a continuous belt conveyor can be assembly from a plurality of modular pulley disks that can be axially aligned and abut against each other to provide pulleys of differing lengths per demand. The modular pulley disks can be made from a non-metallic material such as a polymer and can manufactured by a suitable molding process. Making the modular pulley disks from non-metallic materials enables the disks to be formed with structural geometries such that the assembled pulley is structurally more rigid and can better distribute torsional loads and momentum from the belt to the support shaft.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2019Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: ABB Schweiz AGInventors: Marius Rutkevic̆ius, Darren D.
