  • Patent number: 12159084
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing automatic speed-based audio control. One method includes receiving, with an electronic control unit included in a vehicle, a speed of the vehicle and receiving, with the electronic control unit, an audio signal. The method also includes accessing, with the electronic control unit, a plurality of equalization curves based on the speed of the vehicle, each of the plurality of equalization curves associated with the speed of the vehicle and each of the plurality of equalization curves defining a gain adjustment for one of a plurality of frequencies, and, for each curve of the plurality of equalization curves, applying the gain adjustment defined by the curve to one of the plurality of frequencies of the audio signal.

  • Patent number: 8139810
Abstract: A motorcycle having an open-air cockpit area and a seat configured to receive a rider and position the rider within the open-air cockpit area. A luggage container defines a substantially enclosed cargo volume, and the luggage container is configured to open to provide selective access to the cargo volume. A speaker is configured to output sound in response to signals from a source. A speaker enclosure at least partially encloses the speaker. A bass-reflex passage couples an interior space of the sparker enclosure and the cargo volume of the luggage container.

  • Patent number: 6460638
Abstract: A bushing for a hole in a structural member includes a flange with an aperture there through. A plurality of tabs are hinged to the flange at locations around the aperture. During installation of the bushing, the plurality of tabs are inserted into the hole with the flange being located on one side of the structural member. The plurality of tabs then are flared outward on the opposite side of the structural member to prevent the bushing from being extracted from the hole. A plurality of latches retain the tabs in the flared position.
