  • Patent number: 11483185
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved approach for a training approach to implement DFE for an electronic circuit. The inventive concept is particularity suitable to address, for example, circuits that implement high speed parallel data transmission protocols, such as GDDR6, that are used for graphics applications. The training scheme uses minimal hardware when compared to existing schemes by reusing calibration receiver in auto zeroing receiver as error receiver. Further it works for closed eyes by running the algorithm multiple times with gradual increase in complexity of training pattern, where DFE coefficients from previous iteration is used for the current iteration, thereby gradually opening the eye.

  • Patent number: 11323296
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide for a method and system for training an optimal decision feedback equalization (DFE) coefficient for use in GDDR and DDR applications. The method includes determining a first expected bit pattern using a reference voltage. The method further includes determining a transition voltage value of the first expected bit pattern. The method further includes receiving a second expected bit pattern having a same first bit as the first expected bit pattern. The method further includes determining a transition voltage value of the second expected bit pattern using the reference voltage. The method further includes calculating an optimal reference voltage value by averaging the transition voltage values of the first expected bit pattern and the second-expected bit pattern and storing the optimal reference voltage value in a register corresponding to a logic value of the same first bit.

  • Patent number: 9405314
Abstract: A system and method are provided which incrementally samples and delays a signal passed through a transmission channel thereto. A receiver section is provided with a delay stage including a sample storage portion having a plurality of capacitors. A switch portion selectively switches the capacitors to respectively store incremental samples of the signal received through the channel. A clock source is provided to generate a plurality of periodic clock signals progressively shifted by a predefined clock phase increment. The clock source drives the switch portion to synchronously cycle the capacitors through at least sample and readout modes of operation, which are mutually offset in time by a preselected number of clock phase increments. The received signal is collectively reconstructed from the incremental samples of the capacitors, such that the reconstructed signal is delayed by the preselected number of clock phase increments.

  • Publication number: 20150041015
Abstract: A block-off plate assembly for preventing gasoline leakage near the outer surface of a carburetor bowl of the type used on motorbikes and all-terrain vehicles, comprising two components, the first being a custom-machined plate fabricated from a suitable rigid material. The plate further comprises a smooth, inner planar surface, a parallel, planar outer surface, and a circular channel, machined to a specific depth, into the inner surface. Left and right apertures, both equally sized, are through-drilled into the left shoulder and right shoulder, respectively, of the block-off plate to accommodate the insertion of a machine screw through each aperture. The second component comprises an elastomeric O-ring having dimensions corresponding to the circular channel, thereby serving to provide effective fluid-tight sealing of an orifice in the carburetor bowl.

  • Patent number: 8502586
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a method is disclosed to generate a clock output signal with selected phase. The method includes selecting a phase delay for the clock output signal; charging a capacitor with a first weighted current during a first phase input clock, charging the capacitor with a second weighted current during a portion of a second phase input clock, and determining if a voltage across the capacitor is greater than or equal to a threshold voltage to generate a first edge of the clock output signal with the selected phase delay. The first weighted current may have a weighting of N out of M to charge the capacitor with a predetermined rate of change in voltage in response to the selected phase delay. The second weighted current may have a weighting of M out of M to charge the capacitor with a constant rate of change.

  • Patent number: 5641233
Abstract: A brush applicator for use with a container for a fluid product and the combination with a container with a dispensing opening for a fluid product. The dispensing opening may be a spout, and the brush applicator has a brush body with bristles and a cap for surrounding the dispensing opening. There are first threads on the container and second threads in the brush applicator with these threads part of a valve structure wherein the tightening of the threads effects a fluid seal between the cap and the dispensing opening, and loosening the threads allows variable fluid flow from the container into the brush applicator. The brush applicator being securable to the cap and being capable of being snapped on and off the container by deformation of at least one of the cooperating threads. A method of making the complete brush applicator is also disclosed by shipping only the caps to the manufacturer of the brush applicator.

  • Patent number: 5164832
Abstract: Solid state image sensing apparatus including a readout circuit associated with each detector element. The readout circuit includes a clipping gate that operates to drain charge, from a charge storage region associated with the detector element, that is in excess of a potential barrier height of the clipping gate. The barrier height is first maintained at a lower value and then at a higher value during each frame integration period so that intensity range compression of a high level image signal is achieved, while a low level image signal is not affected by the operation of the clipping gate.

  • Patent number: 4393729
Abstract: A gear shift mechanism is for a gear mounted on a shaft within the housing of a power transmitting device. A shift rod is mounted through a hole in the housing parallel with the shaft and is capable of axial movement between a first and a second position to cause corresponding movement of the gear. A locking lever is pivotally mounted within a slot in the shift rod and has an extended end capable of extending beyond the interior surface of the shift rod. The locking lever is pivotally biased to cause the extended end to overlie the housing adjacent the hold when the shift rod is in the first position. A camming rod is also mounted within the shift rod and can be moved axially to pivot the locking lever against biasing to release the shift rod during shifting from the first position to the second position.

  • Patent number: 4334702
Abstract: The paper described is a sort of graph paper on which shorthand may be written. The writing lines are dived into segments, each segment consisting of an arrangement of circles, squares or other shapes. The segments are repetitive. If the pen or pencil is set down in a square or other shape and writing is then begun, part of the sound need not be written, because it is implied by the square chosen. There is also a neutral position when implied sound is not wanted.
