Abstract: An improved light assembly includes aligned directional light sources mounted one behind another. A distal one of the light sources occludes light emitted from a proximal one of the light sources. A reflector is interposed between the light sources, with a convex surface facing the proximal one of the light sources. Thus, the light assembly projects a light field extending at least through an 180° hemisphere, and up to about 270° backwards from the forward orientation of the light field, well-illuminating lateral approaches to the assembly.

The mounting plate has a round bottom except for a plurality of radially extending flanges. The mounting plate's round bottom and flanges are sized and position to be insertable and removable to and from the base plate's circular opening and indents. Rotation of the mounting plate locks the mounting plate to the base plate. A light is pivotally affixed to the mounting plate.

In addition, the helmet mount includes an adjustable arm, swivel bracket and electronic device. A first end of the arm is rotatably attached to the clamp bracket, and a second end of the arm is rotatably attached to the slider bracket. Meanwhile, the electronic device is attached to the slider bracket that allows it to slide in an arcuate manner. Preferably, the clamp bracket includes a first clamping member and second clamping member which are both movable and rotatable relative to one another.
