    Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a tire comprising a circumferential tread portion and an inner surface partially enclosing a tire cavity, as well as a circumferential sealant layer at least partially provided on the inner surface radially below the tread portion. Furthermore, the tire comprises a first electrically conductive layer at least partially covering a surface of the sealant layer, and a second electrically conductive layer being non-conductively separated from the first electrically conductive layer. A sensor system of the tire is in separate electrical contact with the first electrically conductive layer and the second electrically conductive layer, wherein the sensor system is further configured to detect an increase in electrical conductivity or a short-circuit between the first electrically conductive layer and the second electrically conductive layer.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a tire comprising a tread, two sidewalls, a carcass and at least two belts arranged radially between the carcass and the tread in a crown area of the tire. The tread has at least one axially outer edge portion covering the axially outermost edge of at least one of the belts and comprising a different rubber composition than a portion of the tread neighboring the axially outer edge portion of the tread. Furthermore, one of the sidewalls at least partially covers and contacts the axially outer surface of the axially outer edge portion of the tread.
