  • Publication number: 20070163444
Abstract: In an apparatus for cleaning of a gas a centrifugal rotor is rotatable in a separation chamber about a vertical rotational axis (R). The centrifugal rotor is rotatable by means of a turbine wheel arranged in a drive chamber situated below the separation chamber. The centrifugal rotor and the turbine wheel are connected with each other by means of a shaft. The separation chamber and the drive chamber are separated from each other by two partitions, through which the shaft extends and which between themselves form a drainage chamber. A nozzle is arranged to spray a liquid against the turbine wheel in the drive chamber for rotation thereof and of the centrifugal rotor. The drainage chamber has an outlet for draining of liquid having entered the drainage chamber from the drive chamber, so that liquid shall not be able to flow from the drive chamber to the separation chamber.

  • Publication number: 20060142135
Abstract: In an apparatus for cleaning of gases a centrifugal rotor is supported by two bearings, in which it is rotatable about a rotational axis. The two bearings are lubricated by means of an oil mist, which is generated in a space, when oil is sprayed against a turbine wheel supported by the rotor. Whereas the bearing, which is situated nearest said space, is lubricated by oil mist present in the space, the second bearing is lubricated by oil mist being conducted to it through a central channel in the centrifugal rotor.

  • Patent number: 7056363
Abstract: A centrifugal separator for cleaning of a gas from solid and/or liquid particles suspended therein, includes a stationary housing and a rotor arranged therein. The rotor at its one axial end has a central inlet for gas to be cleaned and delimits a central space communicating with the inlet. Around the central space a stack of conical separation discs is arranged in the rotor. These discs form between themselves several through flow passages which at their one ends communicate with the central space in the rotor and at their other ends communicate directly with a receiving chamber surrounding the rotor in the stationary housing. The rotor supports several turbine blades, which are arranged in a ring around the central inlet of the rotor, and at least one nozzle is adapted to direct a gaseous driving fluid towards the turbine blades for the rotor rotation.

  • Patent number: 6925993
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning of crankcase gas coming from an internal combustion engine can be carried by and be releasably coupled to the combustion engine. For this purpose the apparatus comprises an adapter element, which can be connected with the combustion engine, and a housing, which can be releasably coupled to the adapter element and which delimits a separation chamber. The housing supports in the separation chamber a centrifugal rotor that is rotatable about a vertical rotational axis and is arranged for cleaning of the crankcase gas. The centrifugal rotor has a drive shaft extending downwards through a bottom in the separation chamber and into a drive chamber, in which the drive shaft carries a turbine wheel. A nozzle is arranged to spray pressurized lubricating oil against the turbine wheel for rotation thereof and of the centrifugal rotor.

  • Patent number: 4778039
Abstract: In a friction clutch between an engine and a gearbox, a clutch release bearing is premounted in a clutch portion connected to the engine and an axially displaceable sleeve piston cooperating with the clutch release bearing is premounted in a release mechanism connected to the gearbox. The sleeve piston comprises a companion flange assembly which cooperates with a blocking element to assume a position for either displacing or not displacing the clutch release bearing. Such an arrangement is used in a so-called pull type clutch, which requires connection between the clutch release bearing and the release mechanism when the engine is connected to the gearbox. The present invention permits simple and secure assembly and disassembly of the engine to the gearbox and the clutch release bearing to the release mechanism.
