  • Publication number: 20090068517
Abstract: Systems and methods for verifying fuel cell system functionality are provided. Various tests and/or exercises may be executed while the fuel cell system is in standby mode to detect potential sources of malfunction. In some examples, one or more tests may be designed to detect leaks or ruptures in various reactant supply lines and/or to test the functionality of various valves associated therewith. A controller may be provided to automatically perform the disclosed tests. In certain examples, the disclosed tests may be conducted without the need to provide each component of a fuel cell system with individual electrical feedback.

  • Patent number: 7104805
Abstract: A connector for providing a high current connection between printed circuit boards. The connector comprises a fastener, an electrically conductive spacer, and a nut. The fastener extends through a through-hole in each of the printed circuit boards. The spacer is disposed about the fastener and between the printed circuit boards. The nut engages a distal end of the fastener and forces the spacer into electrical contact with electrically conductive pads that at least partially surround each of the through-holes on sides of the printed circuit board that face one another. The nut may be press fit or otherwise captivated, or formed integrally in one of the printed circuit boards such that the electrical connection may be effected from a single direction. The spacer may be optimized for electrical conduction while the fastener and/or nut may be optimized for strength, rigidity, low cost, or a combination of such factors.
