The upper sections, of non-treated lumber is joined to the lower section by means of a staggered slip joint. The upper end of the upper column section forms a sleeve into which a deep heel truss is set. Pre-fabricated girt panels are applied to the columns prior to truss mounting. Prefabricated applied between the trusses form a complete structure.
