  • Publication number: 20030178433
Abstract: The invention is directed to a cap for a beverage can. The cap is of a size to contain ice therein. The cap is in the shape of a cylindrical container as a compartment or a reservoir. A bottom of the compartment has several circular recesses or grooves therein which have different diameters from each other so that different grooves will snap-fit onto differently sized rims on top of beverage cans. Each of the grooves is sealed to prevent leakage between the rim of a can and the groove of the compartment. A different embodiment of a cap may have a bottom wall just above the grooves with an aperture therein so that narrow ice sticks may be placed directly in the can through the ice compartment. This cap may also be constructed of one or more parts. There is a lower part having the grooves therein and there is an upper lid or cover having a resealable drinking spout thereon.

  • Patent number: 5711434
Abstract: An auxiliary towel rack for interfacing with a conventional barred towel holder, composed of a single piece rod having a bar portion for holding towels, a support portion at each end of the bar portion, and an arm portion for holding, wash cloths connected with each of the support portions. Each support portion is formed by a 90 degree bend of the rod in a first plane, wherein a first section ends at a first curve formed in the rod in a second plane orthogonal to the first plane which bends toward the bar portion, a second curve formed in the rod which bends in the second plane away from the rod portion, a second section, and a third curve formed in the rod which bends in the second plane toward the bar portion. Each arm portion is connected with a respective third curve, and terminates in an end segment upturned in the second plane.

  • Patent number: 5711085
Abstract: A clip for a retractable tape measure which is structured to seatably receive a writing instrument so that the writing instrument is always present to mark the spot whenever a measurement is made, and further so that the writing instrument is located relative to the case so that accurate arcs can be drawn with respect to a nail head centerpoint. The clip includes a clip body composed of a base member for being connected to the case of a retractable tape measure, a spring member integrally connected with the base member for resiliently yielding when an article is slipped between the base and spring members. The clip further includes a writing instrument holder adjacent with the base member for removably receiving a writing instrument. The preferred clip is constructed of stainless steel sheet stock, preferably a spring type stainless steel material, wherein the clip body and the writing instrument holder are integrally formed in a single piece.

  • Patent number: 5388709
Abstract: A garden equipment support rack for mounting on an upright post having a front face and two side surfaces, such as a building wall stud, and on upright posts on movable structures, such as on landscape trucks. The support rack includes at least one elongated hook member having an inner end structure joined to a mounting structure for positioning the hook member on an upright post. The mounting structure is provided with positioning arms for seating against at least one side of an upright post, and attachment screws are employed for fixedly securing the mounting structures to the upright post. The mounting structure may carry a pair of spaced apart hook members, which may be adjustably mounted, for sideward adjustment, on the mounting structure, or which may be mounted in spaced apart fixed positions on the mounting structure.

  • Patent number: 5375534
Abstract: A deck structure for use in supporting cargo at an intermediate level above the floor or bed of a trailer van, or the like. A first embodiment includes a first deck section pivotally mounted on a side wall of a trailer van and movable to a horizontal load position, and back up to a vertical stored position against the side wall where it is releasably held by a spring slam bolt engaged with a height saving angle locking rail. In the first embodiment a second section of the deck is pivotally connected to the first section and it is also movable between a horizontal load position and a vertical stored position against the side wall, and when it is in the vertical stored position it is hanging from the first section and is configured such that it nests closely in the first deck section to provide a slender storing intermediate deck structure.

  • Patent number: 4027771
Abstract: A pallet truck that may be used for loading or unloading trucks and van trailers under circumstances where no shipping dock, well or ramp is available. These pallet truck forks are constructed and arranged to allow the insertion of the fork tines of a fork lift truck, whereby the pallet truck with a palleted load thereon may be lifted from ground level by the fork lift truck and placed on another level such as in a truck or van trailer, and conversely lowered. The fork truck fork tines are then removed and the pallet truck employed to move the palleted load into its proper position in the truck or van trailer. The pallet truck forks may be constructed for the reception of the fork tines of a fork lift truck from either the front ends thereof or the rear ends thereof. The pallet truck forks may be provided with fork tines for raising a load for the insertion of timbers and the like thereunder, to permit the subsequent insertion of the pallet truck forks under the load for raising and moving the same.

  • Patent number: 3933116
Abstract: This is a motor boat gimbal controlled propelling and steering device extending through the boat wall or transom. In one form the power thrust is substantially in direct line with the motor shaft of the inboard motor, the motor being at about the same angle as the propeller shaft, and, in another form, a horizontal inboard motor is connected by a pair of bevel gears at a slight angle to the propeller shaft. The propeller shaft and propeller are used to steer the boat, the propeller shaft being connected to the motor shaft through a gimbal by a universal joint sealed within a tubular accordion boot so that it may swing horizontally for steering purposes and may also swing vertically to a position to at least just clear the bottom hull line and propel the boat in water just enough to float the boat. A conventional surfacing type of propeller is used to provide the optimum effect, particularly in shallow water.
